General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Discovers Brainwashed Jason Is Mystery Shooter – ‘Stone Cold’ Twist Revealed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is on a mission to uncover the threat that’s now escalating. Sonny was already eager to find the person who fired at the Metro Court pool and hit Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), but now the situation is even more troubling.

Someone went after Sonny on his own island in Puerto Rico – and the truly disturbing part is how much that person knew about Sonny’s procedures and operations.

The shooter knew Sonny’s system inside and out, so that seems like a huge clue about the gunman’s identity.

It limits the options if this person was part of Sonny’s inner circle once upon a time.

Of course, we know Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is set to make a dramatic return to the show in early 2024.

Could this storyline be building to Jason’s big reveal and the news that he’s been brainwashed into targeting Sonny?

Although that presumably wasn’t the plan in the beginning, GH writers shift gears all the time.

There have been plenty of stories that started off going in one direction before veering off in another.

Now that we know Steve Burton’s comeback is in the works, this may be how they’re going to reintroduce Jason Morgan to the canvas.

Fans might be getting a “Stone Cold” twist that leads to some jaw-dropping moments.

Sonny expects to eliminate this threat permanently, but he can’t do that if it’s programmed Jason!

It’ll be a lot for Sonny to wrap his head around if he finds out Jason is alive and under some sort of mind control to target him.

In the past, Jason’s brain damage brought hurdles when it came to programming, but where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Someone may indeed be controlling Jason through some advanced methods to make him incredibly dangerous.

It’s just tough to believe that given the latest clues on the island, the show will pass up the chance for a shocking revelation that makes Jason the shooter in the end.

However, it’s perhaps a good sign that Jason keeps missing if that’s the case. Jason may subconsciously want to keep Sonny living and breathing if he’s the one behind the shootouts that Sonny’s survived.
