General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Wants Nina Back After Proper Meds Restored – Fights for Marriage Do-Over?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) feels like pretty much everyone in his life is a traitor who’s out to get him. It’s true that more people than usual are turning against Sonny lately, but he’s also dealing with some paranoia due to his weakened meds.
If Sonny had been receiving his prescription as usual and Ava Jerome (Maura West) hadn’t been manipulating him along the way, the outcome of his marriage might’ve been different.
It seems like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) faced an unlucky break since her own mistake wasn’t that bad in the grand scheme of things.
Nina just had the misfortune of having the SEC truth come out right before Sonny faced a flood of far worse betrayals.
It’s interesting to think about how the situation might’ve turned out if Sonny hadn’t had to deal with the drama of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) being Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plant and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) knowing about it.
We can’t forget Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) secret survival and the whole mess related to that either.
It’s been easy for Sonny to lump Nina in with all the other traitors when she really didn’t deserve it.
Although it was petty for Nina to turn Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in for insider trading, that wasn’t some personal betrayal to Sonny that she deserves to be punished for until the end of time.
What if Sonny starts to understand that once the truth comes out about his altered medication?
Sonny may get back on the proper dose and finally start seeing things clearly again.
Ava may get shoved out of the circle of trust since she selfishly kept quiet about Sonny’s altered meds in an effort to keep him on a tight leash.
Sonny has some legal issues in his future now that he’s spiraling out of control, but those may get sorted out as well at the end of this long and winding road.
Once the dust settles and we’ve got a properly medicated Sonny working to rebuild his life, it’s reasonable to think he might want Nina back.
That’s especially true since Sonny may soon have Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) shining example of love and forgiveness.
Now that Willow seems more open to accepting Nina into her life again, Sonny could find himself longing to fix his relationship with Nina, too.
Will Sonny eventually want Nina back? Will Sonny fight for a marriage do-over – and if that happens, how might Nina react?
Nina may not jump right back into Sonny’s arms since she got burned so badly in all of this, so Sonny might have a tough pursuit on his hands!
