90 Day Fiancé star Yara Zaya got a taste of her own medicine after her mother-in-law Gwen Eymard decided to prank her. Yara is a Ukrainian entrepreneur who married Jovi Dufren from New Orleans in 90 Day Fiancé season 8. While they looked like a happy family on the surface, Yara disapproved of many of Jovi’s habits. This included Jovi’s drinking and hobby of visiting strip clubs. They decided to get couples therapy when Yara started suggesting divorce. Their time on 90 Day: The Last Resort was hectic, but Jovi and Yara got closer and even started to understand each other better.

She wrote that “they” got her this time and tagged Jovi’s mother and @jackieorgeron. She praised them as they were also getting as “creative” as her at pranks. Gwen filmed Yara at the airport returning from a trip with her daughter Mylah. Yara was surprised in the clip as she saw Jackie waiting to receive her while holding a large sign in her hands. Gwen filmed Yara’s reaction to the sign, which read, “Welcome back from your ‘strippers’ convention.” Yara also posed and danced with the sign.

Yara had pulled a similar prank on Jovi not too long ago. She made the same kind of cardboard placard to embarrass Jovi. Yara used the “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” song by Usher as she drove to the airport with Myla while armed with the makeshift sign. The sign said, “Welcome home from rehab daddy.” She’d walked to the airport exit with the sign, and an unassuming Jovi came out to see her. Yara started a tradition of greeting Jovi at the airport with humorous signs. However, it looks like Gwen wanted to seek revenge on Yara before that happened.
Yara and Gwen didn’t become the best of friends when Jovi introduced them in 90 Day Fiancé season 8.
Yara had mocked the shrimp and crab fricassee that Gwen made for her when she went to meet her for the first time. Gwen suspected Yara was with her son for a better life in the U.S. She refused to let Yara stay in her house all by herself as she didn’t think she was trustworthy. However, Yara became close to Gwen once Jovi left for his trips. She nursed Yara back to health when she had COVID-19 after giving birth to her baby. Gwen still criticized Yara’s parenting style and didn’t like that she was taking Jovi to Miami.
Yara and Jovi seemed to have moved to Florida or are in the middle of relocating, but Gwen still welcoming her with open arms seems to imply that all’s well between them. Gwen didn’t like that she’d have to live far away from her granddaughter. She wanted to be involved in her childhood. Yara is making sure Mylah gets to spend quality time with her grandmother. It’s great to see this fun relationship that has developed between the two 90 Day Fiancé women. Gwen has been called the franchise’s best mother-in-law–and she is making sure the title stays.
