A lot has happened in Usman “Sojaboy” Umar’s life since his split with Kim Menzies on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. The 32-year-old was first seen in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. He was an up-and-coming singer in Nigeria who was in a relationship with an American woman, Lisa Hamme. Lisa, who was lovingly called “Babygirl” by Usman, moved to Nigeria to marry him, but the couple seemingly split before the show’s finale. Lisa was reportedly fired from the show after using a racial slur against her husband.
Usman returned to the franchise in the next season with another older American girlfriend. Except that Kim was a potential girlfriend and his biggest fan. Kim relentlessly persuaded Usman to date her, which he did. Usman and Kim were even engaged but happened to call it off after they started arguing over whether they wanted kids. Kiera is a 35-year-old fashion entrepreneur from New Jersey, and Usman called her his “wife” in the comments of her business page. “Love is a beautiful thing, it’s amazing to fall in love and to get it back in return,” Usman wrote in the caption of a now-deleted post. He even shaded Kim by writing, “I’m officially off the market not by force but by choice, this one is the right one for me.” Sadly, Usman and Kiera’s romance was short-lived.
In July 2023, Kiera gave a statement to InTouch, where she said, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce I have chosen to end my relationship with Usman Umar.” She said she needed to “speak out” due to the amount of attention her relationship had received. While Kiera did not reveal what caused her split with Usman, she spoke about “healthy relationships” and asked others to “prioritize their well-being.”
