90 Day Fiancé star Sophie Sierra’s mom, Claire Sierra, is anxious right before finding out her daughter’s shocking secret. Sophie is a 25-year-old woman from London, England, who bonded with her current partner Rob Warne over their shared mixed-race background. Sophie and Rob, 33, spent a few happy years together before she moved to the U.S. on a K-1 visa, even though there was a time when Rob cheated on her with an anonymous person on Instagram. Sophie’s mom, who calls him “Rob the knob,” didn’t approve of the couple getting married and was shocked to see the poor conditions Rob was living in.

Sophie tells the cameras that while her mom knows that Rob has had arguments with her, she doesn’t know about how some of them were caused due to Sophie’s bisexuality. Sophie wants her mom to know about the situation “fully” and is uncomfortable as she admits that she’s told her only “89 percent, 92 percent” of why she’s been arguing with Rob. Sophie nervously tells Claire that it’s something she’s only told Rob and not a lot of other people. Claire divulges that Sophie is giving her “anxiety.”

Sophie’s Mom Is “Sad” She Didn’t Come Out Sooner

Sophie admits that confessing to her mother is making her anxious. “I can’t breathe,” says Claire, while thinking it could be some “really bad stuff” her daughter has kept from her. Sophie tells her mom to calm down and says, “Basically, I told Rob that I’m bisexual.” While Claire says, “Oh” at first, she asks her daughter, “Who cares?” Sophie doesn’t understand why Claire is not shocked by her confession. She proceeds to ask Sophie when she found out that she was bisexual. Sophie admits that she only accepted it about a year ago.

Claire is unhappy that Sophie didn’t tell her about it, even though she’s known for a year. However, Sophie corrects her and says that she’s known about it for years but only “accepted” it a year ago. Claire assures her daughter that it’s not a big deal. She asks her why she kept it hidden from her own mother. Claire then turns to the cameras where she tells the producers that Sophie surprised her. “She tells me everything,” Claire adds with a confused look. She can’t believe that Sophie had been worrying about it for so long and didn’t talk to anyone. “That’s kind of sad,” Claire admits.

Sophie had always known that she was attracted to women. Sophie’s first crush when she was 5 was a girl. She ended up pushing her thoughts aside because she saw how easy it was for her to date men. She was hiding her sexual orientation from Rob and wondered how he would react to it. Rob, however, may have thought of using Sophie’s sexuality as an excuse to have a threesome in the future.
