General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Picks Trina’s New Man – Plays Matchmaker to Free Spencer?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is a woman who knows what she wants, but she may be uncertain of how to get it. Although Esme’s feelings for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) are growing stronger, he’s only got eyes for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Esme has been using Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) to pull Spencer closer, but that may not be enough.

If Esme really wants to free Spencer for herself, she may decide she needs to send Trina down a new romantic path.

GH fans know Trina recently opened up to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) at the hospital, where the pair did some bonding. Nothing romantic happened, but Trina still appreciated the advice and the pep talk.

Of course, Trina wants to keep building a friendship with Dex since he intends to be in Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) life indefinitely.

Spencer never seems willing to give Dex a chance, but Trina appears to believe he’s a good guy who’s worthy of Josslyn’s love.

It’d be easy for Esme to witness another friendly moment between Dex and Trina. Esme could misread the situation or at least see the potential to score Trina a new man.

From there, Esme could start planting doubts in Spencer’s mind about Trina’s loyalty. Perhaps Esme could arrange situations where Spencer might spot Dex and Trina together as well.

Spencer might get stuck on the idea that Trina is attracted to Dex, even if that’s not true.

Maybe Spencer will work himself into a tizzy over innocent interactions and create trouble for himself in the process.

If Spencer takes his rivalry with Dex too far, Trina may decide enough is enough.

It could drive a serious wedge if Spencer isn’t as lucky and gets arrested the next time he goes after Dex.

Naturally, Esme could try to do some genuine matchmaking and push Trina in Dex’s direction if the opportunity arises.

Anything that keeps Trina away from Spencer will be a good thing in Esme’s book!

Esme would also love the chance to make Josslyn miserable, so she might unleash some chaos if she plays Cupid for Dex and Trina soon.
