Today, I want to talk about the impending death of Gregory Chase, which definitely seems to be happening right now. I shared a leak a while back that hinted someone would die after the wedding, and I thought it might be Gregory. Now, it looks like that’s exactly what’s happening. Gregory Chase was working through his bucket list—things he wanted to accomplish before he died. Much of it involved activities he wanted to do while he was still physically able, before his ALS symptoms worsened. He even went skydiving with Alexis Davis and got a kiss out of it. His biggest goal was to see his youngest son, Detective Harrison Chase, married to BLQ. He worried about being healthy enough to officiate, but he made it through. Despite one hiccup where he couldn’t speak, Tracy Quartermain calmed him down, and he got through the “I dos.” He was so pleased to be part of Chase’s big day. After some reception action, he needed to go home for some much-needed rest.
Now, there are huge red flags that Gregory will die, possibly even this week as we wrap up May sweeps. May sweeps end Wednesday, May 22nd. On Tuesday, May 21st (the day this video comes out), official GH spoilers say that Finn has to do something difficult. Then, on Friday, May 24th, Cody and Stella are there to support Tracy Quartermain. These spoilers point to Gregory’s death. The spoiler about Finn doing something difficult likely involves his father. Maybe he finds Gregory in a coma and has to decide about life support. The Cody, Stella, and Tracy spoiler makes sense if Gregory is brought to the hospital the morning after the wedding, when Finn discovers something went terribly wrong overnight.
I can see Cody running into Tracy or showing up at the hospital for her, with Stella offering condolences. Cody and Tracy have a strange sort of friendship, and it makes sense Cody would be there for her. Meanwhile, Chase and BLQ are enjoying their wedding night and plan to leave for Italy for their honeymoon the next day. However, there’s a promo showing them at the airport, worried they won’t get on the plane. They might be called back if Gregory is on his deathbed or has just died.
After a memorable wedding and a nice reception, Gregory had a sweet goodnight scene with his granddaughter Violet. He and Finn shared special father-son moments, buried past hurts, and exchanged kind words. Gregory even gave Finn a goodnight kiss on his forehead, which felt like a final farewell. Once in bed, there were flashbacks with a sad song, signaling Gregory’s impending death. He lay there trying to sleep, with memories of Chase, Finn, and Violet flashing through his mind.
Gregory told Brooklyn that the last thing on his bucket list was to see her and Chase get married, and he did that. He’s checked everything off his list. As he lay there, his hand twitched, and then he was still. He might be slipping into a coma or passing away peacefully in his sleep. Given how awful late-stage ALS is, it would be a blessing for him to pass away peacefully before becoming completely immobile.
GH wasn’t going to invest all that time in a long ALS storyline. So, if Gregory is found clinging to life, he likely has a DNR, meaning no life-saving measures will be taken. The last words we heard were Violet saying goodnight, which might be a final farewell. I feel confident saying Gregory Chase will pass away this week, based on the spoilers, maybe into next week.
A credible source leaked that someone would die a few episodes after the wedding, and it looks like it’s Gregory. Finn, who fell off the wagon at the wedding, might spiral further after his dad’s death. There was a scene in the promo where Finn pours a tumbler of whiskey, staring at it as he fights the urge. It seems this scene is from a different day, likely after he loses his dad. Gregory’s death might drive Finn back to the bottle, but I hope he fights it because his dad would hate that for him.
