The 23-year-old is from Candoni in the Philippines, and she met her partner Brandan Denuccio on a dating app. Brandan, 23, from Oregon began dating Mary online. They stayed in touch for two years via video calls that never ended until Brandan moved to Mary’s native country. Within three months of his move, Brandan and Mary revealed they were expecting their first baby. Mary being pregnant also made Brandan propose to her awkwardly.
However, things have not been going well between The Other Way season 5 couple following Mary’s surprise baby announcement. Brandan shrugged off responsibility and expected a pregnant Mary to do the housework. Mary took to Instagram to share a worrisome message.

She wrote, “I hate myself,” on a picture of her lying down in bed with her face and head covered by a blanket. Mary had tears in her eyes in the selfie, which looked like it had been taken in secret. “I hate myself for overthinking, I don’t like how l overthink. I don’t like being jealous and being insecure,” Mary added in her cryptic post.

Mary wrote that she’s tried hard to stop overthinking but hasn’t been successful with it. “I wish I’m not me,” she wrote. “I understand why all people hate me,” Mary added. She said that she hates herself too. “And I’m sorry for being me. I wish I’m not me [sic],” Mary continued. A screenshot of Mary’s Instagram Story was reposted by Reddit user BazF91. They wrote that the post made them feel sad and worried about Mary. “She’s said and done terrible things on the show, but it seems like she’s self aware. I’m pretty sure she can’t afford a therapist,” the fan wrote in their caption.
Mary’s jealousy was the reason the couple stayed on video calls 24/7. Mary disliked Brandan being around any woman, and she even broke up with him when she found out he was seated next to a female passenger on his way to the Philippines. Mary discouraged Brandan from looking in a certain direction during a church service. Brandan convinced Mary he didn’t love anyone else as much as he loved her. But then again, Brandan began to change once he realized he was going to become a father. He started to spend a lot of time sleeping and refused to help Mary at their new variety store, citing language issues.
Recently, there have been rumors about Mary being pregnant again with her and Brandan’s second baby. The couple has yet to confirm the news, but it will take time since their season of The Other Way is still only halfway through. Mary and Brandan’s Instagram pages suggest they are still together, which is relieving.
