Lindsie Chrisley On Why She Turned Down Offer To Appear In Family Documentary

Lindsie Chrisley has made up her mind to have no part in a new documentary about her family and she has good reasons for it. In a lengthy Instagram post, she explained the reason behind the decision.

Lindsie Chrisley Says She Didn’t Want To Only Tell Her Version of Her Family’s Story

In today’s social media landscape, talking about family issues and problems have sort of become the norm. The downsides to this is that people who aren’t part of the family and part of the situation can share their opinions freely based on a one-sided account. That is not something Lindsie wants to do to her family. They either all get the chance to tell their story or none of them do. What a brave decision!

Taking to Instagram, the “Chrisley Knows Best” alum addressed the rumors of a possible upcoming documentary based on her family and whether she will be making an appearance. Even though she was approached to partake in the project, she respectfully declined.

“I respectfully declined and do not plan to participate in any project that doesn’t allow for everyone’s voice to be heard,” Lindsie, 33, explained. “We all have a story, there’s always multiple sides and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.”

She then went on to note how there’s been a lot of negative changes for the family as of recent to wholeheartedly want to be a part of such a project. However, through the “hard conversations and personal life decisions,” Lindsie depended on her faith to see her through it all.

Speaking on her faith, The Southern Tea podcaster said, “I’ve learned to sit quietly with God instead of trying to figure everything out on my own. He takes my anxiety and replaces it with peace, wisdom and security. I trust in him.”
Interest in the Chrisley family peaked last year

When the family heads, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were accused of tax evasion. Even though they pled innocent, and continue to do so, they were both sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. In January, they reported to prison, even as their appeal process continues.
