90 Day Fiancé: Michael’s Celebrated Fourth Of July With New Family (Signs He’s Taunting Angela Again)

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Star Michael Ilesanmi celebrated the Fourth of July in style after splitting from Angela Deem. Since his debut in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2, Michael’s relationship with 57-year-old Angela has been one of the most hotly contested reality TV romances. Fans watched as Angela flew to Nigeria to meet Michael after the pair connected on social media, and it wasn’t long before fans realized how toxic their relationship would become. Despite the 22-year age gap, Michael and Angela tied the knot in 2020.

Angela’s abusive and controlling attitude made her 90 Day Fiancé’s number one villain. Her toxic relationship with Michael grew as the pair appeared in several spin-off series, including 90 Day: The Last Resort. Meanwhile, Michael was also not a saint, as he cheated on Angela, lied, and also had his intentions questioned. Nonetheless, the couple remained together, and Michael made it to America in 2023. Just months after moving to Georgia to live with Angela, Michael left her and now looks to be enjoying life with his new family.

As the whole U.S.A. celebrated Independence on the Fourth of July, Micheal, who has made the state of Texas his current home since leaving Angela, joined in the celebrations. Michael took to his Instagram stories to share images and clips of how he was spending the holiday, which included taking part in a soccer game as he shared warm-up and post-game pictures. After the match, Michael enjoyed a barbecue lunch with his new family and shared videos of people sitting in lawn chairs and food being prepared on a grill.

Since his split from Angela, Michael has found it surprisingly easy to settle in another state, considering he only got to America in December 2023.

Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé fans who followed Michael’s journey also sent him messages about the July 4th celebration, which he reposted on his stories. Unsurprisingly, Angela was the only one unhappy that Michelle was celebrating America’s Independence. Angela filmed a short clip questioning how Michael, a Nigerian, could be celebrating her country’s independence on her visa.

Since returning to social media after his brief hiatus and split from Angela, Michael has been living his best life and looking happier than he’s ever been on 90 Day Fiancé. Michael’s Instagram has also been busier, regularly posting content about his new life. Donning a stylish black-and-white shirt and shorts with a color-matching snapback and white sneakers, Michael started July in style, wishing fans a happy new month in a series of pictures he posted on Instagram. While Michael has not been inked with anyone since leaving Angela, he seems very happy to be single and live in America.

Since his split from Angela, Michael has found it surprisingly easy to settle in another state, considering he only got to America in December 2023. Just two months after moving in with Angela, Michael dramatically disappeared, and when the police found him, he explained he was scared for his life and didn’t want to be seen by Angela. However, Michael’s moves and excuses seem a little too planned out after years of denying his ultimate goal was to get a green card.

Despite the toxicity in their relationship, Michael stayed with Angela on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. Even when they broke up, the two somehow always found their way back together. Angela has never hidden her temper, and it’s surprising that Michael has only just realized he couldn’t endure what he had taken for seven years. While both claimed they loved each other, it was clear Angela enjoyed being abusive and controlling over someone who would take it, and Michael was just as happy to endure it as long as he made it to the U.S.
