Emily Bieberly from 90 Day Fiancé looks forward to making more babies with her husband, Kobe Blaise. The Kansas resident met her Cameroonian beau in China a few years before the COVID-19 pandemic. She fell for his loving nature and decided to get serious with him. Emily and Kobe got pregnant with their first child, Koban, in 2018. They decided to raise him in the United States, so Emily returned to her hometown and filed for Kobe’s K-1 visa. The couple continued their long-distance relationship for a year and finally reunited in 90 Day Fiancé season 9.

Emily and Kobe’s journey in season 9 wasn’t without its challenges. They had to navigate through cultural differences and personal conflicts. Emily, for instance, felt that Kobe was self-centered due to his reluctance to be intimate immediately after arriving in the United States. On the other hand, Kobe felt disrespected when Emily bought her own engagement ring, seemingly disregarding the one he had given her. However, these issues weren’t insurmountable. The couple showed their commitment to each other and married in the season finale. Emily and Kobe’s story continued to blossom with the arrival of their daughter, Scarlett, in 2021.

Why Can’t Emily & Kobe Get Along Well In Happily Ever After? Season 8

Emily and Kobe’s happy marriage was the perfect end to their journey on 90 Day Fiancé season 9. However, the couple surprised fans by announcing their return in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8, letting them know their story wasn’t over. Emily and Kobe’s new storyline revolved around their trip to Cameroon. They decided it was time for their kids to meet their paternal grandparents and experience Cameroonian culture. The couple also felt it was the best time for a family get-together, as it was something that they hadn’t done since their marriage.

Emily and Kobe’s trip to Cameroon didn’t pan out well. Kobe’s friends didn’t like how controlling Emily was and started complaining about her immediately.

They also tried to turn Kobe against Emily, encouraging him to be bossier and control her. As expected, Emily didn’t like that one bit. She felt it was out of line for Kobe’s friends to be so judgy and disrespectful. She also expected Kobe to do something about it. Unfortunately, Kobe didn’t go against his friends. He stayed neutral, leading to various marital issues with Emily.

Emily and Kobe tied the knot in the United States. As a result, they couldn’t invite Kobe’s family in Cameroon to attend the wedding, which made them feel left out. When the pair visited Cameroon, Kobe’s parents immediately announced they wanted them to have another wedding ceremony. Kobe’s dad revealed his expectations and shared that he wanted the couple to marry according to their traditions. The news came as a big surprise to Emily and her family.

The couple never thought that their fun family trip to Cameroon would turn into a stressful Cameroonian wedding experience.

Initially, Emily was on board with the idea of having another wedding. However, her parents didn’t feel comfortable about it, especially since Kobe’s family looked forward to paying a “bride price” for Emily to her parents because it was part of their tradition. Emily’s mom shared her uneasiness about the idea. She felt odd that Kobe’s family referred to Emily as their property and wanted to pay for her. Thankfully, Kobe and his parents eventually made Emily’s family understand the reasoning behind the tradition. They agreed to have the wedding ceremony despite some reservations.
