Kobe’s family revealed that the bride’s parents receive money and gifts before the wedding. ET recently shared a new teaser of Emily and her parents sitting with Kobe’s family for a discussion. In it, Lisa shared her concerns about the ‘Bride Price’ with Kobe and his family. She felt like she was selling her daughter in exchange for the money.
Kobe’s family members explained that they call it a ‘Bride Price’ to take the bride away from the home where she grew up, and it doesn’t belong to her after marriage. Lisa and David carefully listened to the significance of the Cameroonian tradition. But things went downhill after Kobe’s brother called the American native a property. He said, “She’s already the property of our brother.”
Lisa interrupted him and asked him if his daughter wouldn’t belong to them after marriage. Kobe’s brother told them they would bury her if she died ‘Because our wife our property.” David and Lisa finally had enough of all that and called out the Blaise family for calling their daughter a property.
