Married At First Sight: Chloe Brown Has Animosity With The Season 17 Women (What Happened?)

Married at First Sight season 17 alum Chloe Brown is not on good terms with the other women of the season and there is reason for that. Chloe came into the season when the other couples were already halfway through. This is because her chosen partner by the experts, Michael Shiakallis, was originally paired with someone else who ditched him at the altar. Chloe and Michael seemed instantly smitten with each other and carried on an entertaining and real marriage up until Decision Day.

While Chloe said yes to wanting to stay married to Michael, Michael said no. He cited not being ready for marriage and being unable to give Chloe everything she deserved in a partner. During the Reunion, Michael admitted to holding back and not giving the experience everything he had like Chloe did. Chloe and Michael were the only Married at First Sight season 17 couple to consummate their marriage. At the Reunion, Michael and Chloe presented like they were on good terms.

Chloe Was Not Part Of Season 17 Girl Click

In Married at First Sight season 17, the women of the season, Emily Balch, Blare Kerr, Becca Haley, and Lauren Goodger, banded together in feeling their ex-husbands wronged them. The foursome had clear resentment towards the season 17 men (via Lifetime.) After their marriages ended, the women formed a strong bond and reveled in their disdain for the men. At the Reunion, the women all wore pink in solidarity with each other and excluded Chloe from their group. They also came in hot with their accusations and malice toward the men. Chloe commented that all the hatred was unfortunate.

Instead of acting out at the Reunion and being disrespectful like all four of the Married at First Sight season 17 women did at one point, Chloe acted with poise and grace. She heard her ex-husband out and challenged him respectfully to answer host Kevin Frazier’s questions more honestly. Chloe’s demeanor was in stark contrast to the other women. Chloe also did not share the same backstage dressing room as the other women and did not cause any problems during the whole Reunion episode.

Michael & Lauren May Get Together

Given circumstances that have come to light via a trailer for the final episode of Married at First Sight season 17, there may have been more animosity brewing behind the scenes at the Reunion. In the clip, Chloe and Michael met for a dinner, and in another scene they were having drinks with Becca’s ex Austin Reed and his roommate. In another clip, Michael was sitting next to Lauren as he said, “You know the internet has been willing this.”

“Here we are,” Lauren said as she sat next to a shocked-looking Clare.

What happened next was just as shocking as the revelation that Michael and Lauren had been eyeing each other.

“Chloe and I are no longer friends. She became very irate when I followed Michael on social media,” Lauren said in a video diary.

To address the clear animosity, in another scene, Chloe was talking to the season 17 men and said, “One of them with a burner account has written the most horrifying things that you could possibly imagine about me.” Chloe’s comments made it appear like her issues were not just with Lauren alone, but with the group of troublesome and scorned women.

“These women do not want to heal,” Chloe said in a separate clip before remarking, “I wish them everything they may need to be different people.”

Chloe Is Friends With Season 17 Men

It looks like the Married at First Sight season 17 women do not want to stop at disliking the men of the season, they now have it out for odd woman out Chloe. And Chloe is not taking their grievances lying down.

She does not appear to be the one dishing drama and seems to be addressing it with the class she has addressed any issue all season.

Chloe has become friends with the season 17 men, perhaps because she is going through a similar circumstance in being disliked and thrown into drama with Becca, Emily, Clare, and Lauren.

Whether Lauren and Michael’s apparent attraction is the root of the problems remains to be seen. However, the women other than Chloe this season have showcased their ugly sides and they are likely the drivers of any conflict between them and Chloe. In any case, viewers should watch the final episode to get more perspective into the drama between Chloe and the Married at First Sight season 17 women.
