90 Day Fiancé’s Veronica Rodriguez Defends Jamal After He’s Accused Of Being A “Player”
Veronica Rodriguez is coming to Jamal Menezies’ rescue as fans accuse him of being a player after watching him in 90 Day: The Single Life season 4. Veronica is a 37-year-old woman from Charlotte, North Carolina. She got pregnant when she was 20 and married her baby daddy, who later cheated on her. Veronica met Tim Malcolm when her daughter Chloe was barely a year old. Veronica and Tim were engaged and together for seven years. Tim did not approve of Veronica dating 27-year-old Jamal and felt she deserved someone better. Luckily for Tim, there’s been an assumption on social media that Jamal is a player.
However, Veronica is going all out while protecting her partner from the criticism he’s getting online for dating her.

Veronica recently posted a photo with Jamal to celebrate their Single Life season 4 debut. One fan asked Veronica, “I thought he was a player and not ready to settle?” in the comments. Veronica told her follower that Jamal was “never a player.” She said they had just met “once” when she introduced him during the Single Life season 3 Tell All as her love interest. Veronica revealed that they later saw each other casually for a few months. “And you’ll have to tune in to see where we are now,” she added.
Jamal Menzies Tries To Lower Expectations Amid Single Life Premiere
Veronica kept her photo with Jamal very cryptic. She used a few emojis in her caption and didn’t tag the location of where the picture was taken to avoid revealing any spoilers about her and Jamal’s current relationship status. Meanwhile, Jamal is also responding to speculation about his relationship with Veronica in his own way. He reposted a clip showing his segment with Veronica from 90 Day: The Single Life season 4. He added a screenshot of his comment on the reel to his Instagram Story.
Jamal explained that when they filmed the scenes shown in The Single Life season 4, episode 2, he and Veronica had only seen each other a couple of times. “I’m sorry I didn’t fall in love as fast as most of you seem I should’ve,” Jamal added. He signed off with, “Anyways, enjoy,” and used his Instagram Story to tell his followers that they should keep his comment in mind throughout the season. Jamal was the one who slid into Veronica’s DMs one day and complimented her eyes. He offered to show her around the city when she messaged him about her San Diego visit. The couple ended up having a good time together.
They even spend the night in each other’s company. This may have led Veronica to believe that Jamal was going to be her next husband since she was looking to marry again. However, the young Jamal wanted independence rather than a committed relationship at 27. If Veronica wanted to settle down, Jamal wanted an open relationship. He was seeing other people when they filmed the 90 Day: The Single Life season 3 Tell All–and so was Veronica. However, the pair decided to be exclusive and are figuring out how to manage communication issues in their long-distance romance.
