90 Day Fiancé’s Kenny Admits Having Another Child Could Help Heal His “Wounds”

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Kenneth “Kenny” Niedermeier is revealing a painful truth about his past that makes him want to have a baby with Armando Rubio. The 60-year-old reality TV star left his home and kids behind in Florida when he moved to Mexico in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2. Kenny had never been married, but he has four children, including a son and triplet daughters. The 34-year-old Armando, on the other hand, is a dad to a little girl Hannah. The duo went past their challenges as a gay couple and got married in 2021. However, Armando has been pushing Kenny to welcome a child with him.

Initially, Kenny was against the idea of having a baby because of how old he is and how old he will become as the kid starts growing up. But in a preview clip from The Other Way episode 8, shared by ET, Kenny is warming up to welcoming a baby with his husband.

“Armando and I bonded when we first met on the gay fathers support group,” Kenny told the cameras. “I lost twins at four months with a miscarriage and Armando lost a child,” he added. Kenny admitted that one already starts to love a child from the moment they are conceived, “so the thought of having another child could help heal those wounds and kind of fulfill something that never took place before.”

Meanwhile, Armando turns to his mother, who’s sitting with them, and tells her, “We are saying that we both lost babies so that’s one of the reasons he didn’t say no at the beginning.” The loss of his child is too painful for Armando to even talk about all these years later, and he breaks down in tears as Kenny and his mom reach out to console him. In his own confessional, Armando reveals that when his ex-wife and Hannah’s mother was eight months pregnant, she got into a car accident and passed away.

“So they both passed away,” Armando shared. Throughout the years, Armando has spent time wondering who and what the child would have been. He wonders how the child would have interacted with him and Hannah. He imagines the moments they could have had together. Armando was going to have a baby girl. They were ready for her birth. Armando even had a name picked out for his unborn child. It was very hard for him to lose her. There is no way for him to explain the pain and the feelings that he’s experienced since the loss of his wife and child.

Kenny and Armando recently visited a surrogacy agency. They found out the process was within their planned budget. Armando was over the moon after learning about the cost and told Kenny he wanted to move ahead with it, as the process would take a year-and-a-half. Kenny, however, admitted he was going back and forth about it. He wondered if he was too old to have a baby at 60 years old, and the thought of something happening to him when the kid is barely 5 or 6 hit Kenny hard. He did agree to compromise and adopt a child who was a little older, but that’s not what Armando wants. It seems Kenny and Armando are now on the same page and perhaps will welcome a baby soon on 90 Day Fiancé.
