90 Day Fiancé star Yvette “Yve” Arellano has been thriving in her new life since her appearance in season 9 with Mohamed Abdelhamed. Yve is a 49-year-old reality TV star from New Mexico who brought her Egyptian boyfriend Mohamed to the U.S. on a K-1 visa. Yve and Mohamed met when he came across Yve’s photo in a swimsuit on Instagram and messaged her. Yve flew to see Mohamed in Egypt and got engaged to him despite their 23-year age gap. Mohamed started arguing with Yve over their religion, culture, her clothes, and her free-spirited lifestyle as soon as he came to America.
Mohamed accused Yve of delaying their wedding. He threatened to find a new Green Card sponsor. While Yve and Mohamed got married and were together for the season 9 Tell All, the reunion exposed Mohamed for cheating on his wife with a mystery woman over text messages. The network showed viewers screenshots of text messages between Mohamed and his girlfriend which revealed he was planning to leave Yve after getting his Green Card. Mohamed allegedly planned to stay in the country by making false abuse allegations of abuse against Yve to obtain a U-Visa which is meant to protect victims of domestic abuse from being deported.
Yve Filed For Divorce From Mohamed
Yve finally filed for divorce from Mohamed in September 2022. According to court records obtained by ET, Yve filed the paperwork in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was living with Mohamed and her son Tharan. The doctor’s decision to divorce her Egyptian husband came as no surprise to viewers. Meanwhile, Mohamed currently seems to still be in the United States, although he has been maintaining a low profile. Mohamed’s last Instagram update was in January 2023 about him getting a haircut in a Cleveland, Tennessee salon.
Domestic Violence Charges Against Yve Were Dropped
Yve was charged with domestic violence in August 2022 with one count of battery against a household member and one count of assault against a household member. She was seemingly charged against her husband. At the time, Yve’s publicist had claimed that the allegations were falsified by Mohamed. “Mohamed and the woman he has been cheating on Yve with have discussed his options from the very beginning,” Yve’s publicist told InTouch. Yve pleaded not guilty, and the prosecutor dismissed the case without prejudice in February 2023 (via InTouch.)

With the disturbing marriage now behind her, Yve is moving on and doing much better. Yve is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist. She is part of the Mountain Spirit medical team, where she works as an advanced practitioner. She is trained dually as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a Licensed Massage Therapist. In September 2022, Yve announced she was going to serve for another year as Vice President of the New Mexico Society for Acupuncture & Asian Medicine. Meanwhile, the 90 Day Fiancé star debuted as a model in 2023. She can be seen modeling jewelry and trendy dresses as a part of her new job on her Instagram.
