Married At First Sight season 17’s Decision Day has aired, but what happened to the couples of season 12? While each season of one of the best reality TV shows brings new hope, only one couple made it out of MAFS season 12 still married. Regardless, all of MAFS season 12’s cast seems to be moving on. As fans await Married At First Sight season 18, it’s time to revisit the season 12 cast.
MAFS season 12 matched five couples from the Atlanta area whose first time meeting was at the altar. The couple then embarked on a journey of discovery to determine whether the pair was meant to be married at first sight or should break things off. Featured on MAFS season 12 were Paige Banks and Chris Williams, Briana Myles and Vincent Morales, Clara Berghaus and Ryan Oubre, Haley Harris and Jacob Harter, and Virginia Coombs and Erik Lake.
1. Erik Lake

While Virginia and Eric faced many issues during their time on the show, on decision day, the couple decided that they would stay together. However, when filming ended, the pair told People that they privately tried working through the problems they were facing in their marriage. Still, they ultimately decided that divorce would be the best decision, so in July 2021, they filed the papers and made it official.
Since Erik broke things off with Virginia, Erik has continued working as a pilot. He has remained lighthearted about his time on the show and often posts videos on his Instagram that poke fun at some of the things he was seen doing on screen. Erik married Logen Saxon in 2023.
2. Virginia Coombs

Virginia came across as young and free-spirited during the show, and since her divorce, that has stayed a part of her. She spends much of her time now focusing on her mental health, hanging out with her friends, and of course, with her dog Rockie. She formed a fast relationship with fellow MAFS season 12 wife Haley and has an even closer bond with Clara. Additionally, after her divorce from Erik, Virginia publicly came out as pansexual.
3. Ryan Oubre
MAFS Season 12
Ryan stayed married to Clara on Decision Day, but they were another couple to break up after filming MAFS. The couple’s problems on the show continued after filming, and they filed for divorce only months after their decision. The split was announced with a statement posted to Ryan’s Instagram where he insinuated that the race difference between the two caused profound misunderstandings in the relationship and played a significant role in its ending.
The statement had a ripple effect on the season’s cast. Virginia posted a video on her story in response to his account (via Monsters & Critics). Ryan didn’t respond to Virginia’s multiple call-outs and is now focused on his health and helping others reach their goals as a trainer at a CrossFit gym in Atlanta.
4. Clara Berghaus

A lot of Clara and Ryan’s issues on the show were centered around a lack of intimacy in the relationship, but Ryan’s post shows more lurking beneath. However, Clara seemed to have a differing opinion as to why her marriage with Ryan ended, so in response to his statement, she released one of her own in US Weekly that expressed her eagerness to move on from that chapter of her life. Whatever the reason, Clara had no problem celebrating its end and officially closing that chapter of her life as 2021 ended. She left her job as a flight attendant in 2022 to pursue a position in sales.
5. Haley Harris
MAFS Season 12
The less-than-ideal marriage between Haley and Jacob ended on Decision Day, with neither choosing to stay married. While she may not have walked away from the MAFS experience with a husband, she did gain several close friends with the other wives from the season. Like many MAFS alumni, she travels worldwide to places like Monaco, Portugal, and Columbia. Unfortunately, she still receives criticism about how she came across on the show.
6. Jacob Harder
MAFS Season 12
The age difference, personality differences, and lack of intimacy were the most significant determining factors in the downfall of Haley and Jacob’s marriage. It could be seen almost from the moment the two married. Both were happy to move on, and Jacob is still his quirky corgi-loving self. In 2021’s MAFS “Where Are They Now” episode, Jacob seemingly found a match with a woman from Atlanta who could bond with him over some of his many obsessions, but that seems to have dissipated. Jacob appears to be still single.
7. Paige Banks
MAFS Season 12
After her chaotic relationship with Chris, Paige needed to bounce back. As someone so ready to get married and willing to trust in the process, it was unfortunate to see how her relationship with her husband played out on screen. Still, since she and Chris parted ways officially, Paige has continued living her life to the fullest. She often returns to MAFS and has hosted an empowerment conference with her fellow MAFS season 12 wives, Haley and Briana. The reality TV star is also allegedly working on a book.
8. Chris Williams
MAFS Season 12
Chris contributed significantly to the drama of MAFS season 12. In fact, Chris still plays the villain online years after MAFS season 12 premiered. For those wondering about his ex Mercedes, after he announced that she had suffered a miscarriage, the couple was spotted vacationing together by MAFS fans, as discussed in the r/MarriedAtFirstSight subreddit. Still, they do not seem to be on good terms currently.
9. Vincent Morales & Briana Myles
MAFS Season 12
Vincent and Briana were the favorite couple from season 12 and are the only MAFS season 12 couple still married. Like any married couple, the two had their issues during the show, but they proved to be a great match and are happily married. After his experience on the show, Vincent said he believes in the experiment and thinks it works (via E! News). Additionally, Vincent and Briana welcomed a baby girl, Aury Bella Morales, in January 2023. At least there’s one fairytale ending to the disastrous Married At First Sight season 12 couples.
