MAFS: Chloe Struggles with Her Sexual Attraction to Michael Due to His ‘Fashion-Forward Personality’ (Exclusive)

Married at First Sight star Michael’s sense of style may be too much for his new wife Chloe.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode of the Lifetime series, Chloe tells her costars Lauren, Clare and Emily that his fashion choices are “fun to watch” before admitting they give her the ick.

“I’ve really enjoyed watching him,” she says. “That’s the thing he didn’t even tell me [the skirt] was coming. He was just like, ready to go to the retreat and I was like, ‘Oh, like, great. Love that for you.’”

“But when it comes to the sexual attraction, having that flair and that really fashion-forward personality has been a challenge for me, which is hard,” she adds.

Lauren encourages her to speak to him about the issue, saying, “I know in all my relationships, I’m big on just saying, ‘You know what? I think I’m getting triggered right now. I don’t know what is going on. But this is triggering me a lot.’”

“I like the way you just put that,” Chloe responds. “You don’t know what’s gonna trigger you until you’re in the moment. You’re like, that’s triggering me, how do I tell him it’s triggering me?”

On last week’s episode, Chloe admitted that her husband trying on her large pearl necklace came as a surprise to her.

“Before I was a married woman, I never romantically entertained a man that leans into his feminine side,” she shared. “I’m definitely not sure how I feel about it yet. I’m taking it one day at a time.”

However, that wasn’t the only surprise in store for Chloe. When the couple arrived at Michael’s apartment, he showed off his skirt collection.

“I never in a million years thought I’d be married to a man who owns more skirts than I do. It just takes it to the next level,” Chloe admitted.

After peeking into each others’ closet, Pastor Calvin Roberson asked Chloe about how she felt about Michael’s fashion sense.

“It’s just, he’s vastly different from any other man I’ve ever been in a relationship with, dated, or interacted with romantically in any way, shape and form, truthfully,” she explained. “And so, a man who leans so heavily into his feminine side, it’s just new territory for me to navigate… It just takes time.”

Despite their differences, Chloe appeared ready to give their relationship a try.

“What you’ve given me is a man I never would have chosen for myself, truthfully,” she said. “We are not two people coming together where I’d say, ‘I would’ve picked you out in a bar,’ and truthfully, I asked for that man who has a heart of gold and that’s the man you gave me.”
