They’re back for season 25, but despite being on the air for a long time, the cast of Law & Order: SVU still knows how to have fun together when they’re not filming the serious scenes.
While the show’s cast has seen a number of different actors appear on screen over the years in guest starring roles, there have also been many faces who have since come and gone in starring roles as well.
While BD Wong, Tamara Tunie, Raul Esparza, and more have left the show in recent years, fans have seen others like Christopher Meloni return with his spinoff series Law & Order: Organized Crime.
They’ve also recently seen the return of Kelli Giddish, after she stepped away in season 24 due to a pregnancy.
Of course, fans still see the actors behind the show’s current longest-running characters—Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T.

Whether they are part of the cast full time or part time now, they all certainly know how to have fun both on and off the set.
Giddish’s return is something Hargitay celebrated with a video on Instagram ahead of the season 25 premiere, as the two danced around and hugged to the tune of Paul Russell’s Lil Boo Thang.
She also shared a snapshot with Peter Scanavino, as they posed and had fun celebrating the show’s quarter of a century on TV.
She also had some fun in another behind-the-scenes photo with Ice-T, as he appears to karate chop the camera, which the Olivia Benson actress is holding.
Giddish, meanwhile, also shared a video on Instagram celebrating her return and the show’s premiere with Scanavino.
In their video, Giddish reminds fans to tune in to the premiere, while Scanavino comes up behind her and then claims he is actually Kelli Giddish and also reminds fans to watch.

Ryan Buggle, who portrays Hargitay’s onscreen son, Noah, also posted several photos to Instagram behind the scenes as well.
Not only did he share one photo with Ice-T, but he also shared several pics with his onscreen mom, including one of them watching back a scene, where the actress hugs him from behind in an embrace.
Law & Order: SVU airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
