“I Am An Eccentric Person”: MAFS’ Gina Works Through Relationship Issues Over Clint’s “Bizarre Energy”

An exclusive clip from the next Married At First Sight season 16 episode shows Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb unpacking her issues with his “bizarre energy.” In the previous episode, Gina told Pastor Cal and Dr. Pepper that Clint’s “outrageous” personality gave her “almost second hand embarrassment.” Clint was completely caught off guard, claiming she’d never mentioned this in private. Now, with Married At First Sight’s Decision Day looming closer, they’re putting all the cards on the table.

In Screen Rant’s exclusive Married At First Sight season 16 preview clip, courtesy of KineticTV, Gina maintains that Clint is a “bizarre” and “outrageous” person, expressing hesitations over times when he acts like a “silly jokester, crass, dancing, loud, drunk person.”

Clint admits, “I am an eccentric person,” but insists the behavior she listed only comes out on “special occasions.” He also explains the heightened reaction to her comments was because she never mentioned it before. Acknowledging that she failed to do so, Gina also insists “bizarre energy” isn’t a bad thing. She claims being prompted to list her concerns made it come across worse than she intended. The 35-year-old apologizes if she hurt his feelings, while Clint reassures her that he understands what she meant.

MAFS Season 16’s Gina & Clint Have Come A Long Way

Applauding themselves for successfully working through this bump in the road, Gina and Clint discuss where their relationship stands overall. Acknowledging their “peaks and valleys” along the way, Clint points to the solid friendship they’ve formed. The 41-year-old mentions the other Married At First Sight season 16 couples complimenting how easily they get along and work as a team. Gina agrees, noting that what most couples would do in six months to a year, they’ve done in two months. The salon owner tells Clint she appreciates their growth but also needs to do a lot of thinking about what she really wants in a marriage.

Gina and Clint may make a good team, and they’ve come a long way since fighting over Clint’s comments about Gina’s body type. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they should stay married. It might just indicate that they’re better off as friends. Their initial reservations seemed to be because neither fit the other’s usual types. But even as they grow closer and closer, the physical attraction still hasn’t come along. In many relationships, friendships provide great foundations for a lasting romance. But that usually takes longer than two months.

Chemistry isn’t something that can be faked. The way Pastor Cal and Dr. Pepper have tried to force a romantic spark emphasizes complaints that Married At First Sight needs new experts. Their suggestions have been uninspired, such as Dr. Pepper’s insistence that Gina and Clint would feel more romantic after watching sad movies together. Once again, the experts refuse to admit their matches aren’t always quite right. Now viewers will have to wait and see if Gina and Clint find a spark before Decision Day.
