Little People, Big World star, Amy Roloff certainly wouldn’t be the first famous face that experienced a death hoax. In fact, a lot of them come via various dodgy obituary sites. However, the TLC star seems fed up with it. Ahead of the weekend, she addressed the subject on social media.
Amy Roloff & Her Family Have Enough Tragedy Without Death Hoaxes
Clearly, someone thinks that death hoaxes are funny which they are not and only cause pain. Every now and then, a famous person gets reported dead. Unfortunately, there are plenty of real deaths to go around. Little People, Big World star Matt remembered his dad this Father’s Day. Recall, in 2022, he passed away after battling leukemia. The whole family got together to remember him, and to grieve with Ron’s wife “Huny.”
TLC fans heard that the son of Amy Roloff, Zach, and his wife Tori suffered the tragic loss of her third child when she had a miscarriage. She seems much happier now that she safely birthed her rainbow baby and Josiah’s thriving. However, it’s not something that people get over easily. Many people believe that death hoaxes seem particularly cruel. Not just because they bring pain to old friends, but because it trivializes the real experience of grief.
Amy Roloff Compains About Fake Death News
Ahead of the weekend, the LPBW star went live on Facebook with her friend, Lisa Dixon. Most of the conversation centered around dogs, summer, and the Little People of America Association conference in Texas. Actually, she loves that because it’s a great time for family and friends to catch up. Naturally, she loved seeing Tori and Zach’s kids, Jackson, Lilah, and Josiah. Additionally, she also talked about the death hoaxes that crop up from time to time.
Ranting a bit, Amy Roloff said that she’s “alive and well.” Additionally, she lambasted people who make up that sort of “fake news.” After all, she claimed, “a number of people…asked me, ‘are you dead?” Some of them seemed really concerned and asked if she’d been “hurt” or “in an accident.” Getting salty, she said that she’s got zero knowledge of where the death notices originate.
News Seems Too Depressing
One LPBW follower who saw that Amy Roloff spoke out about fake news opined, “…don’t look at the news too depressing.” But most people didn’t dwell on the hoax, possibly because it came quite late in the video.
Many people just love to see her back and talk about her life. Although they often get together for their live chats, Lisa and her friend last did one back in early June.
