General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 14 – Sonny’s Trap Set – Dex’s Risky Orders – Carly’s Warning for Josslyn

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 14, reveal that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will open up to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about how someone wants her to pay for what she did.

Anna is being targeted, but it looks like she’ll dismiss some of Valentin’s concerns.

The person who set that fire did it while she was out of the house, so Anna may not think her life’s in immediate danger.

Despite what happened at the pool, Anna may think someone’s getting a bigger thrill out of trying to scare her right now.

At GH, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will apparently want to cut ties with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and go their separate ways.

However, Mason will wonder why on earth he’d ever let Austin go.

This isn’t Austin or Mason’s call to make anyway since the boss clearly sees value in retaining Austin’s services as a doctor.

At the Metro Court pool, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will wonder if Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is going to give up on Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), so she’ll share how discouraged she is with this whole “Eddie Maine” situation.

Although Olivia may worry “Eddie” will never transform back into Ned, Dante will think she should keep fighting for her husband and their future together.

Ned will eventually pop up looking for someone, so we’ll see if he seeks out Olivia or someone else.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will talk to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about the bar fight and how she ended up detained at the PCPD.

Once Carly updates Josslyn on how she rejected Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) attempt to sign her out, even Joss might think her mom was being a bit stubborn!

Whatever the case, Josslyn should finally get Carly released and will hear about her mom’s growing fears.

“If he loses power, we’re no longer safe,” Carly tells Josslyn in Monday’s GH preview video.

It sounds like Carly will worry about Sonny and the possible threats he’s dealing with.

Carly may think it’s more important than ever for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to find out everything he can and report back to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Speaking of Dex, he’ll meet with Sonny and ask what the plan is. Sonny will have a risky new assignment for Dex since he’s about to set a trap for someone.

That could be a response to Anna’s latest drama, but this could also involve Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) since Sonny’s hoping she’ll lead him to answers about her mysterious boss.

Betty was supposed to take Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) to camp, but it seems Sonny will corner her and insist there’s been a change of plans.

Perhaps Sonny will dangle some bait in front of Betty and keep an eye on what she does next. Betty will ultimately deliver a progress report, so she might meet with Mason or someone else within the organization they work for.

Dex might be tasked with following Betty and giving Sonny news on her shady actions, so he’ll be risking his life if he gets caught.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will continue to deliver orders to Dex and put him in some tight spots as a result.
