General Hospital spoilers say Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is struggling to understand who she is and what she’s about.
She wants to trust that her own thoughts are solid and her intentions are as good as she thinks they are, but around every turn is someone else reminding her that she is a travesty as a human being.
What if she doesn’t remember that part of herself because it’s too painful to admit it’s truly a part of who she is?
What if this is all genetic and waiting to creep up on her again at some point? What if she can’t escape it no matter how hard she works to prove herself to the people around her?
One would think her own mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), might find a way to make her feel better about herself, but that’s the last thing she will do for Esme.

Esme’s recent trip to Pentonville left her with regrets, and more questions than answers. Heather certainly managed to get under her skin, just as soon as she realized the real reason Esme stopped by. Claiming she needed to understand why her mother abandoned her, it was obvious to Heather that her daughter had been comparing herself to her. She has no problem preying on that weakness.

Rumor has it that won’t be the last time we see Esme visit with Heather this summer, and the next time she does is purportedly going to be full of fireworks.
Another suggestion from Heather will have Esme biting her head off. Will she be triggered because she is confident that she’s nothing like her birth mom, or is the comparison going to strike a nerve because she worries they’re far more alike than she wants to admit to herself?

Heather isn’t going to like the way her daughter’s face lights up as she defends Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).
In fact, Esme’s face will say it all: she’s falling for Spencer. Perhaps she’s well beyond falling. Heather won’t stand for her flesh and blood being fooled by the likes of a Cassadine, but how much control can she possibly have over the situation from a jail cell?
