General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Ashford Crushes Portia
Coming up on GH this week, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is still reeling from the prognosis that he will likely never walk again. The bullet and all of its fragments were successfully removed, but the damage they did to Curtis’ spine looks permanent.
Naturally, he’s beside himself as he processes this new info. And this week, he makes a decision that he feels is best for his wife, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Soon, at General Hospital, he tells Portia that if he’s never going to walk, then she needs to let him go.
Of course, he is trying to protect her and save her from a lifetime of taking care of him. This is a drastic shift because last we saw Curtis before he learned of his prognosis, he was looking forward to a bright future with Portia.
Now, he’s pushing her away. And he may push the rest of his family away also. It’s the last thing he wants, but no doubt Curtis feels he’s being selfless and thinking of them. However, there’s no way Portia is having this. She will not turn her back on Curtis.
If anything, she’s more determined than ever to spend the rest of her life with him. He’s got another thing coming if he thinks Portia will walk away from him just when he needs her most.
Sonny Calls Ava Out on GH
Elsewhere, on General Hospital, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is a bundle of nerves. Avery Corinthos‘ (Scarola twins) new nanny, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini), reports for duty at Wyndemere. And things get off to a rocky start.
The two ladies get into a spat, and Betty tells Ava that the job is hers and there’s nothing she can do about it. Then, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shows up and walks in on the argument.
He meets Betty, then he confronts Ava and says he can tell she’s scared. And he demands to know what is going on. So, Ava breaks down and tells him everything on General Hospital. How she “killed” Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
And how Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) and his awful cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) got involved. Sonny says he’ll take care of everything, and Ava is overcome with relief. But there are still obstacles ahead.
Carly Shares Incredible News on General Hospital
On a lighter note, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) delivers fantastic news to her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). This week, Carly announces that she bought Kelly’s Diner from her mom Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).
This is precisely what Carly needs to pay her SEC fine and rebuild her life since losing the Metro Court Hotel. So things are finally looking up for Carly, and her future looks bright.
