General Hospital Comings & Goings: Jackson Montgomery Returns

General Hospital fans, brace yourselves for a rollercoaster week of casting updates and surprises, including Jackson Montgomery and more!

Soap Dirt brings you exclusive insights into what’s unfolding in Port Charles, with returns, debuts, and some unexpected twists that will leave you eagerly waiting for the next episode.

General Hospital’s Latest Updates with Belynda

Hey there, General Hospital fans, it is Belynda from Soap Dirt, and I’ve got your General Hospital comings and goings for the week ahead. We’ve got some stuff with the Chase family and with Gregory Harrison’s family tied to somebody new that’s coming.

General Hospital Comings And Goings: Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison)

Lily Anne Harrison’s GH Debut

We have somebody new coming related to Curtis’s rehab stay, and a naughty nurse has more scenes. Also, another comeback from that All My Children crossover. Let’s dig in right now. So Gregory Chase actor, Gregory Harrison, has a bring your actress daughter to work day kind of thing because his daughter landed a role on GH.

Her name is Lily Anne Harrison. She is a professional actress, and she just appeared on Tuesday, August 15th, as Andrea Gates, who is a potential surrogate for TJ Ashford and Molly Lansing. Lily Anne revealed that she has auditioned for General Hospital several times before.

Even before her dad landed the role of Gregory Chase, but she never got cast until now. So, just to be clear, she had already been auditioning for them. They knew who she was, so maybe they hired her to keep her dad happy. But It doesn’t sound like it’s nepotism. It sounds like she was already someone that was on their radar.

General Hospital Comings and Goings: Jackson Montgomery - Jack (Walt Willey)

Violet Finn Returns with a Heartbreaking GH Scene

Okay, also speaking of Gregory Chase, we’ve got scenes with him and adorable Jophielle Love, who is back this week as Violet Finn. She has scenes with her granddad Gregory, and it’s very sad because while he is babysitting her, some of his ALS symptoms flare up.

And it causes him significant problems. So, it looks like this might be the point of no return where he finally realizes he’s got to tell his sons what’s going on.

Mykel Shannon Jenkins’s New General Hospital Role

Okay, our next casting tidbit is for a guy named Mykel Shannon Jenkins. He is going to show up this week as Roy. I won’t say he’s debuting because he’s been on General Hospital before. This time he’s playing Roy, who’s a physical therapist.

He’s working with Curtis Ashford during his stay in rehab for his paralysis and that spinal injury. If you happened to watch the reality show I Wanna Be a Soap Star, that aired, I think, two seasons — the first one was back in 2004, Michael Shannon Jenkins won that series.

And the promised prize was a role on General Hospital. But a lot of people were really angry because the role that they gave him was tiny. It was really just a walk-on extra scene. He was a police officer named Byron Murphy.

And he didn’t have a lot of scenes or dialogue. And then they shot and killed off the character. This time though, he has got an actual role almost 20 years later after winning I Wanna Be A Soapstar. Maybe now he will get to be a soap star, so congrats to him.

General Hospital Comings and Goings: Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) - Janice (Lauren Swickard}

Lauren Swickard’s Continued GH Appearance

All right, we also expect more of Josh Swickard’s wife, Lauren Swickard. She is the not-so-nice nurse Janice over at Ferncliff, and she is going to be around while Sasha Gilmore remains in captivity.

Walt Willey and the AMC/General Hospital Crossover

Alright, we have one more big piece of GH casting news. Walt Willey is back as Jack Montgomery. We are going to have that AMC crossover with Jackson all over again. He is back later this month. No doubt. It is related to the Martin Gray and Lucy Coe drama.

General Hospital Comings and Goings: Jackson Montgomery - Jack (Walt Willey)

But Jackson Montgomery will not stick around again for very long, just like he didn’t the last time. If you’re excited about these Jackson Montgomery All My Children crossovers, here’s another. If you don’t care for it, the good news is. It’s not gonna last that long.
