90 Day Fiancé’s Kalani Reveals Deeply Personal Reason Asuelu’s Affair Was “Devastating”
90 Day Fiancé star Kalani Faagata is revealing why she was devastated after finding out Asuelu Pulaa cheated. The 34-year-old Kalani made her reality TV debut with 90DF season 6 which showed Asuelu coming to the U.S. from Samoa to get married. Asuelu and Kalani’s incompatibility was pretty much evident from the start, as viewers watched them navigate language, age, financial, and cultural differences. Asuelu and Kalani had communication issues that he addressed shortly after their last on-screen argument on 90 Day Diaries. Since then, Asuelu claimed he was single even though Kalani was very much a part of his life.
Kalani found out Asuelu cheated on her with someone in Samoa during his trip when she noticed he had a yeast infection in his mouth. After she revealed this on 90 Day: The Last Resort, Kalani received questions about their relationship on Instagram. “Was Aseulo really the first? Hmm,” was one of the questions. Kalani replied, “I was raised Mormon and I was saving myself for marriage.” When she left the church, Kalani told herself she would sleep with the first person she loved. “That happened to be Asuelu, 8 months after | met him,” Kalani revealed. Kalani was one month away from being 29. Asuelu was 23 back then. “That’s why the cheating was so devastating,” said Kalani who had never “shared” her body with anyone until then.

Kalani also wrote, “People wait longer than that, it really wasn’t that big of a deal.” She continued, “If you get told your whole life that sexual sin is next to murder, it kinda f**** up your outlook on sex.” Even during the beginning of their marriage, Kalani would feel “disgusting and guilty” after having sex. When Kalani caught Asuelu red-handed, he tried to deny it had been anything more than a kiss. He eventually confessed he had received oral sex. Asuelu’s guilt made him give Kalani a chance to make things even. He didn’t think Kalani would take the “hall pass.” She not only kissed a different man but also went all the way with him, without Asuelu’s knowledge.

Kalani’s “hall pass” guy is the same man she’s dating now called Dallas Nuez. Kalani and Dallas appear to have been dating since December 2022 which is when he started showing up on her Instagram stories. The man with the tattooed arm stays in California like Kalani. Dallas works at the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services in Tustin, California, according to InTouch. Kalani and Dallas’ relationship has taken a pretty serious turn. He’s introduced her to his family. They are supposed to be living together.
Kalani having been with Asuelu since she was 29 and no one else may have allowed her to explore a relationship with a new man as soon as she got a chance to date outside of her marriage. Kalani admitted she had feelings for him in the latest episode of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. Kalani promised Asuelu she would block Dallas’ number, but she clearly hasn’t done it. Meanwhile, Asuelu who keeps crying on the show to prove how sorry he is for his mistake was also seen getting cozy with co-star Winter Everett since his and Kalani’s split.
