Tyray is a 33-year-old virgin from Modesto, California, who has never been kissed. He started gaining weight as a kid when food became his friend out of loneliness. Tyray’s weight became one of the reasons why he grew up as an introvert and eventually failed to form any relationships. Tyray met a 27-year-old woman from Barbados named Carmella on a dating platform four years ago. He spoke to her regularly on Snapchat and even sent her private photos.
Tyray planned on getting engaged to Carmella, but his plan was foiled when 90 Day Fiancé producers told him Carmella was actually a man named Christian catfishing him. His quest for love has taken him to New Orleans. A clip from a recent Pillow Talk episode showed Tyray talking to a couple of women and telling them, “I was in a four-year relationship with a man.” Tyray’s brothers were embarrassed that he was trauma dumping on the women “hella early.” They wanted Tyray to talk to one of the women alone. The Pillow Talk clip showed various 90 Day Fiancé cast members reaction to the awkward moment, and a lot of them couldn’t believe he opened with his catfish scandal.

Tyray tried to make small talk with the woman who was telling him about getting out of a long-term relationship. “I didn’t really know the person I was talking to,” she told him, thinking Tyray had been through a similar experience. She wanted to give Tyray a chance and wanted to be around the “big teddy bear.” Tyray promised to get in touch with the lady later, and she said she would look forward to it.
