90 Day Fiancé’s Mary Forced To Defend Behavior After The Other Way Cast Calls Her A “Manipulator”
Mary Demasu-ay from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way thinks it is okay for her to post racy videos on social media. The 23-year-old woman joined the franchise alongside her American beau, Brandan DeNuccio. She loved him a lot but couldn’t stop herself from manipulating him and controlling him. Brandan flew from his home country to marry Mary in the Philippines. He hoped things would improve, but Mary doubled down on her insecurities instead. Not only did she force him not to look at other women, but she also seemed jealous of Brandan’s connection with his mom.
According to a recent preview reported by People, fellow 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5 cast members called Mary out for her hypocritical behavior. They asked her why she had posted provocative videos of herself “shaking her a**” on social media when she had banned Brandan from being free. Shekinah Garner even claimed Mary was “trying to get a lot of sexual attention.” As expected, Mary defended herself immediately and claimed that her actions were justifiable. She said, “It’s a dance. A lot of people do that.” The Philippines native also shut down Shekinah and told her she shows her breasts on camera, implying it’s far worse.

Unfortunately, Mary’s defensive statements didn’t affect the cast members’ perceptions of her. Tim Malcolm said, “She’s shaking her a** on social media but doesn’t want Brandan to do anything.” Daniele Gates added that Mary’s “double standard” makes her provocative dance wrong. Kenny Niedermeier even bluntly stated, “If he was shaking his butt in a Speedo, she would not tolerate that at all.” While Brandan still tried to support Mary by claiming that the obscene dance made her feel more confident, Sarper Güven warned him instead. He said, “I believe that she’s a manipulator,” adding that she plays the victim to control Brandan.

The Other Way season 5 cast members are right about Mary’s double standards, but they have no right to call her out for posting dance videos on social media. Most 90 Day Fiancé stars have shared far more embarrassing content on social media that’s worse than Mary’s twerking videos. Shekinah has posted cringeworthy clips with Sarper that are full of PDA. Similarly, Daniele has shown immense hypocrisy on social media and embarrassed herself in front of her followers. The only cast member who can have a valuable opinion is Kenny. He’s happily married and knows the real meaning of love and trust.
Mary’s stance on the situation is also terrible. She thinks her twerking videos are perfectly acceptable behavior because she’s seen American women do it on social media. However, she shouldn’t focus on trends that are happening in the United States. Mary also knows that Brandan is just as insecure as herself. Therefore, she should be respectful of his emotions and try not to seek unwanted attention on social media. Unlike Shekinah and Daniele, Mary is a married woman with a baby.
