Following her arrest on alleged theft and fraud charges, 90 Day Fiancé’s Leida Margaretha finally spoke out about the ordeal. Leida appeared in 90 Day Fiancé season 6 alongside Eric Rosenbrook, a divorced father of three. After chatting on video calls, Leida, originally from Indonesia, flew to his home state of Wisconsin, where Eric proposed to her after two days of meeting. Despite the strained relationship between Leida and Eric’s daughter Alari, the couple eventually got married. However, Leida filed for divorce in February 2024, marking the start of her legal drama.

In Touch reported that Leida recently spoke out about her three felony charges in Wisconsin, claiming that there’s more to the story. The 90 Day Fiancé star made a few posts to her Instagram Stories about her legal drama and difficulty finding a new job, stating, “I have been facing a lot of discrimination due to my pending charges…people will judge me as soon as they see my s***.” Leida stated she will not discuss her legal issues or attempt to clear her name because she wants to put it behind her and move forward.

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has had its share of scandals and arrests, including from Geoffrey Paschel, whose arrest and charges stand out as the most egregious in 90 Day Fiancé history, which Leida referenced. Although she mentioned her pending charges, Leida didn’t let this stop her from criticizing Geoffrey as she updated her followers. She stated she wouldn’t be doing a tour to clear her namewhile also shading Geoffrey, who made it a point to try to clear his name as he was dealing with his charges.
In her post, she wrote, “I won’t be making any comment about my legal issue and what is the truth behind the scenes or doing a tour of ‘clearing my name against these charges’ thing to people like Geoffrey did…Because I don’t have to as I don’t owe anyone an explanation.” Geoffrey, who appeared in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4, was sentenced to 18 years back in 2022 on charges of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with emergency calls. His arrest caused a lot of backlash when there were calls to have him removed from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, and rightfully so.
Given Leida’s alleged wire fraud and theft arrest, it’s evident that no judgment can be made between her and Geoffrey. Each person has made choices that have shaped their current paths, leaving little room for either to judge the other. As many stars of 90 Day Fiancé have been at the center of a few scandals over the years and seasons, hopefully, none will face such serious charges as Leida and Geoffrey.
