90 Day Fiancé’s Kim Menzies Slams Son Jamal Over How He Treats Veronica On The Single Life
Kim Menzies from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise isn’t too happy about how her son, Jamal Menzies, treated co-star Veronica Rodriguez. The San Diego woman made an impact on viewers in 2022. Not long after, her son, Jamal, also made a big impression by revealing that he had begun dating 90 Day: The Single Life’s Veronica. During 90 Day: The Single Life season 3 Tell All, Jamal and Veronica publicly announced their relationship. They claimed it was casual but slowly became more serious about each other. In 2024, Jamal and Veronica return to the spin-off to showcase their romantic journey.
Kimberly is proud of her son, Jamal, and thinks he’s a level-headed and nice man. However, Jamal’s bad behavior toward Veronica has really let her down. Recently, 90 Day Fiancé shared a preview of Jamal and Veronica’s car ride where he purposely picked a fight with her.

The preview clip also showed Kim’s 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk reactions, where she condemned her son for being disrespectful to Veronica. During one scene, Jamal threatened Veronica to keep making bad choices and see what happens to their relationship.
Kim immediately reacted to the scene and angrily said, “Jamal, That wasn’t nice.”
Jamal & Veronica’s 90 Day Fiancé Relationship Explained
Veronica and Jamal have always had an incompatible relationship. When the two first met, the North Carolina native single mom was looking for a serious relationship with someone her own age. She wanted someone who could be a stepfather to her daughter and a nice husband to her. In comparison, Jamal always wanted something casual and didn’t want to get into anything permanent.
Jamal also has a big issue with Veronica’s ex-turned-best friend, Tim Malcolm.
The short clip reveals that Kim supports Jamal and Veronica’s relationship. She even called out her son when he was rude to his girlfriend. Although Kim is eager to meet Veronica and build a stronger connection with her, it seems like her wish may not be fulfilled.
As a result, their relationship is on the brink of collapse. Given the significant age difference between Jamal and Veronica, it’s unlikely that they will ever be able to truly understand each other and create a lasting bond.
The biggest issue between Jamal and Veronica is their dramatically different mindsets. Since the San Diego man is in his late 20s, he’s just not mature enough to understand Veronica’s situation as a 37-year-old single mother with a long dating history. He can’t come to terms with the fact that Veronica has a distinct way of treating people; she has a male best friend who was once her partner and has a daughter to care for. Jamal hasn’t yet experienced the real hardships of life. Kim is right to call him out on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off.
