That is why Karen isn’t taking any kind of risk now! She recently decided to have a direct eye-to-eye talk with Giannis and asked some uncomfortable questions. Viewers were in shock as they saw the matriarch clearly grilling Chantel’s boyfriend.

Chantel gathered all her shattered pieces of heart and traveled all the way to Greece to find love again. She met a “professional football player” named Giannis Varouxakis and fell head over heels in love with him. Since then, the 90 Day Fiance star has been gushing over his newfound love and is manifesting her happily ever after with him.
But Chantel’s family clearly needs time to determine whether Giannis was the right choice. Viewers will now watch Karen officially meeting her daughter’s boyfriend after she has heard a lot about him. Shaun gave the matriarch a chance to ask all the questions that she had in her mind.
Karen was quick to grab the chance and asked about Giannis’ number of siblings. She then inquired about the latter’s sister’s age and whether she was able to get along with his former girlfriends. This clearly made the 90 Day Fiance star uncomfortable, who chimed in, “Mom, please don’t. Please, please, please, Mom.” But Karen wasn’t really ready to give up.
She then talked about Giannis’ profession. Karen asked him if he was a full-time football player or if he was getting “minimal breaks.” However, the latter tried his best to stay calm and dealt with the interrogation with utmost grace. He revealed that he was playing on a regular basis, and that was the reason he couldn’t come to America to meet Chantel.

90 Day Fiance star Chantel never really saw her mother coming up with a questionnaire and having an interogative session with her partner. Hence, she was in shock and wondered what Karen was actually up to. The celeb admitted on the Tell All segment that this was really “new” for her.
Chantel confronted Karen that she was really “hard” with Giannis, and she was clearly “grilling” her partner. However, the matriarch didn’t think that she had done anything wrong. In an exclusive clip, Karen made it clear that she only does it when the person sitting in front of her gives her a reason to grill.
She stated that such situations arise “especially when they give the wrong answers.” However, viewers don’t think that Karen was wrong at all. Apparently, she has her own concerns as she has witnessed how messed up Chantel and Pedro’s marriage was. The matriarch was well aware of Nicole’s involvement in her daughter’s marriage.
Hence, she even interrogated about Giannis’ sister. So, it appears that she was just fulfilling her motherly duties.
