The Cameroonian family explained to Lisa and David that they would receive a ‘Bride Price’ before the wedding. Recently, all of them sat together for a one-on-one discussion about the ritual. In the latest preview, Emily’s mom shared her concerns about the ‘Bride Price. She felt like she was receiving money for selling her daughter to Kobe’s family.
Hence, Kobe’s family members stepped in to clear her doubts. They explained that they offered the money and gifts to the Bride’s family to take her away from the palace where she grew up. Lisa and David listened to all the significance of their traditions before Kobe’s family called their daughter a ‘property. They continued that the Cameroonian family would bury her if she died after marriage.
