Why We Can’t Forget Christina & Henry From Married At First Sight Season 11

Christina Crochet and Henry Rodriguez may have been the worst Married at First Sight season 11 pairing, but they were unforgettable. While it wasn’t evident at first why Christina and Henry made such an awful pair, their constant fighting and controversial accusations made it clear the pair wouldn’t say yes on Decision Day. Unsurprisingly, the terrible couple split, but there were some incredible moments in MAFS history paved along the way.

Christina and Henry were victims of MAFS experts’ terrible matchmaking skills over the past few seasons. While it’s true that sometimes that opposites attract, this wasn’t the case with this highly tumultuous and incompatible pair. After confronting each other in a last blowout with some wild accusation, Christina and Henry have gone their separate ways. However, they had some moments on MAFS season 11 that were truly unforgettable.

Were Christina & Henry Opposites?

While their “opposites attract” storyline made them compelling, Christina is a total extrovert, whereas Henry is an introvert. Many pairs find that one partner is more extroverted than the other, but Christina and Henry embodied the two extremes. Christina regularly complained about Henry’s “lack of confidence” on the show and longed for a more stereotypically dominant man. In contrast, Henry disliked Christina’s irritability and impatience, which she claimed was due to her ADHD diagnosis. When Christina craved empathy from Henry, he “folded up like a card table,” as he self-described on MAFS.

They Were More Like BFFs Than Soul Mates

At their best, Christina and Henry were more like best friends than soulmates, as detailed by their difficulty with intimacy on MAFS. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Christina “wanted Henry to take the lead regarding sex and physical touch” and added that “it was a non-negotiable” for her. Henry’s lack of initiation with intimacy led Christina to accuse him of a lack of confidence, which was also an important factor for her in a relationship. During an intimacy exercise on MAFS season 11, Henry opened up to Christina, revealing he had been bullied as a child, leading to many insecurities. While she empathized with him, her desire for a confident man wasn’t met.

The incompatible pair got along as friends, but they just couldn’t get on the same page when it came to intimacy. Henry needed someone who took the lead in sexual relationships and bolstered his confidence, whereas Christina wanted someone who felt less like a buddy and more like a romantic partner.

The Married At First Sight Stars’ Homeless Drama Got Very Heated

The most unforgettable part of Christina and Henry’s short-lived relationship was the drama surrounding Christina’s alleged homelessness and Henry’s alleged homosexuality. Neither allegation turned out to be accurate; although Christina had heard from a friend he might be gay, he denied her claims and has been in a relationship with Kayla McCormick for over two years. Additionally, after seeing Christina’s living situation on the show, Henry accused her of homelessness since all her items were in a storage unit. The argument got quite heated. Christina now lives in Mexico to escape the drama from Married at First Sight.
