NCIS fans mourned the death of David McCallum back in September. The actor portrayed the beloved Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard since the very beginning of the CBS military procedural series. Now, it is time for the cast and the fans to remember Ducky. This is a moving and emotional episode that promises to be something very special. NCIS Season 21, Episode 2 Is A Tribute To Ducky

Although David McCallum died in September, it is not until now that fans get to see the episode that is a tribute to his character Ducky. However, it was all set up with the first episode entitled “Algún Día.” Thanks to a phone call to Parker, we learn that Palmer had gone to Ducky’s house. Parker Tells Palmer, “Woah, woah, woah, slow down.”

Soon, McGee wonders out loud about what is going on. Alden then promises Dr. Jimmy Palmer “Of course, we’ll be right there.” The episode ended with Alden Parker ready to give the team some heartbreaking news.

According to TV Line, the cast and crew “shed tears shooting it.” This is a very emotional episode with a lot of heart. What is it about?

What Is NCIS Season 21, Episode 2, ‘The Stories We Leave Behind’ About?

What do we know about NCIS Season 21, Episode 2 entitled “The Stories We Leave Behind”? According to the synopsis, the agents are all remembering Ducky as they work on a case that was close to Ducky’s heart. “The case involves a woman whose father was dishonorably discharged from the Marines, shedding light on themes of loyalty, duty, and sacrifice.”

Showrunner David J. North reveals that “The case is important to Dr. Mallard. As the team investigates, “they’re going to relive their memories of a coworker and a man who meant so very much to them.” Throughout the process and the episode, they would ask “What would Ducky do?”

This episode was co-written by Brian Dietzen who “shed tears writing it.”

Make sure you have plenty of tissues. This episode promises to be a tearjerker.
