NCIS’ 21st season will be the drama’s shortest ever outing, so when is episode 10 going to be released?
Hollywood was massively impacted by the actors and writers’ strikes last year, bringing production companies to a halt across the US.
This meant some of the biggest shows in the world, including NCIS, had a delayed return to the small screen with the CBS drama returning for season 21 five months later than usual.
Nevertheless, since making a comeback, the police procedural has kept viewers on their toes with Agent Nick Torres’ (played by Wilmer Valderrama) prison plot, as well as the franchise’s 1,000th episode.
All good things must come to an end, though, and NCIS’ latest outing is almost over.
When will NCIS season 21’s final episode air?
NCIS season 21 will be the shortest series in the show’s history, thanks to the Hollywood strikes of 2023.
In order to keep the drama in line with its usual end date, this time around, NCIS consists of just 10 episodes rather than the typical 22.
There have been some hiatuses along the way as well to ensure the show finishes in May.
NCIS season 21 is going to air episode 10, its grand finale, on Monday, May 6, on CBS.
As of yet, no details have been released regarding what the plot is going to be for the grand finale.
However, in the meantime, there is still the penultimate instalment to get excited about which comes out on Monday, April 29.
Entitled Prime Cut, not much has been given away so far but the promo does give an indication of what the main storyline is.
Near the beginning of the teaser, Agent Alden Parker (played by Gary Cole), questions: “So how does a guy die twice?”
Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) later jokingly asks: “Need a hand?”, holding up a dismembered arm, so it’s clear that the team will be dealing with a violent case for the next episode.
Why did Harry and Meghan make a Netflix series about their life?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of public attention since they took a step back from senior royal duties in 2020.
In a trailer for the Netflix series about them, Prince Harry told viewers that “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors” in a reference to how their lives may differ from what the public think about the couple. Meghan adds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”.
Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive up to $100 million for making the show, although this has been disputed and the true figure is unknown.
It may be sad to see yet another season of NCIS reach its conclusion but it isn’t all bad news.
Earlier this year, the network renewed the hit drama for season 22 so there will be plenty more to come from the team.
As long as there are no more delays, NCIS series 22 is expected to begin sometime in September as it normally does.
