Married At First Sight’s Clare Gives Honest Reaction After Cameron Finally Apologizes
Married At First Sight season 17 stars Clare Kerr and Cameron Frazer have had a difficult time throughout their marriage, but when Cameron finally apologizes to Clare for his behavior, how does she react? Early on in MAFS season 17, Clare and Cameron seemed like they would be a good match. Their wedding ceremony was a joyous event and both Clare and Cameron were happy with the match, but their honeymoon quickly made it clear that things weren’t going to be easy in their relationship. As Cameron’s attraction to Clare remained stagnant, issues in their relationship began to crop up.
In a preview of Married At First Sight season 17’s Decision Day (via People), Clare’s reaction to Cameron’s apology for essentially ruining their marriage is genuine one. “I’m going to say it plainly: I ****ed up the process..trying to defend myself against what I thought was an impending rejection.” Cameron explained that he couldn’t exactly explain his reasoning, sharing, “I can’t tell you the exact reason, I obviously felt a reason to do it and I’m sorry for that.” Clare, surprised by the apology, accepted begrudgingly. “I appreciate that. It means a lot,” Clare said tearfully, “I forgive you.”

Should Cameron & Clare Continue Their Relationship?
While the decision has seemingly been made for the couple for a while after choosing to separate after a month of marriage, Pastor Cal Roberson still had to go through the motions of Decision Day. “The time has come for you to decide whether to remain separated and get a divorce, or get to know each other after the documentation and maybe reset to give it another shot,” he explained to the couple, who were tearful in the preview clip. While Cameron and Clare have both rejected their marriage, it is possible for them to give their relationship another try?

The couple, who were initially excited to get to know each other, have some major issues between them in terms of religion and lifestyle, but it’s possible that Clare and Cameron could try to overcome their problems. While they disagree on some major fundamentals, Clare could be more receptive to Cameron’s ideas, while he could work to open up to hers. With a mutual foundation of respect, it’s possible that Clare and Cameron could choose to stay married and work on their relationship though they’ve been separated for more than half the Married At First Sight season.
For Clare, hearing Cameron’s apology about his destruction of their marriage was a moment of much needed closure. Though it’s possible it could be closure on the relationship in general, the apology could simply be providing closure on the issues they faced in the earliest part of their marriage. Now that Clare has some clarity, it’s possible she may want to give her relationship with Cameron another try. If Cameron and Clare can choose to communicate more openly with each other and compromise about their ideals and values, their marriage could turn into a Married At First Sight success story.
