Married At First Sight’s Brennan Causes Emily To Break Down Crying & Ditch The Reunion
Married At First Sight season 17’s Brennan Shoykhet has been one of the most polarizing figures of the season, and in an exclusive clip from the second half of this season’s reunion, he pushes his ex-wife Emily Balch to break down and storm off the set. Married At First Sight season 17 has been full of drama, especially between Emily and Brennan. The couple who met and married sight unseen have been buzzed about throughout the Denver season of the series, especially after their MAFS co-star Clare Kerr revealed that Brennan allegedly planned to cheat on Emily during their marriage.
In an exclusive clip from Entertainment Tonight, Brennan is shown going so hard at Emily that she breaks down and winds up storming off the set, despite MAFS host Kevin Fraizer begging her to stay seated. As Brennan recounts a conversation he shared with Cameron Fraser during their time on the show, things appear to grow too intense for his ex-wife. “We went to a bar, it was after that one month mark where we had that dinner and you two [Clare and Cameron] were separated, and her and I removed the marriage.”
Brennan, who appears to be saying he and Emily had been discussing separating as well, is interrupted by Clare, who was comforting Emily through tears. “You were still working on your marriage, but okay.” Clare growled across the room at Brennan, who began to try and fight back. Through a flurry of crosstalk, Emily appeared to get overwhelmed and stood up to excuse herself, walking off the set as she said, “I’m not doing this s***. This is ****ed up, I’m done.”
Lauren Warns Cameron Not To “Keep Poking The Bear”
Elsewhere in the clip, Married At First Sight season 17’s Lauren Goodger appears to be coming for Cameron. Seemingly responding to some sort of comment that isn’t shown in the clip, Lauren is visibly irritated with Cameron. “Cut the s*** now continue on with whatever the f*** this is…everything I say is a jab? Baby, I ain’t jabbed you yet,” Lauren interjected, holding Cameron’s gaze to ensure he was taking her seriously. “Keep poking the bear, and I’ll bite the f*** back,” Lauren shared. “Stop playing with me, Cameron, ’cause you don’t scare me.” Cameron didn’t have anything real response.

After a tumultuous season of Married At First Sight, the cast has come together for one last time to discuss everything that went down during the season, and surprisingly, behind the scenes. Revealing during the first part of the MAFS season 17 reunion that the cast was working to out-produce their producers by fabricating storylines and essentially directing their own way through the experience, it became clear that things weren’t quite so authentic on what most feel is one of the most authentic reality TV shows on the air. The MAFS season 17 cast has argued who’s at fault extensively.
With Married At First Sight season 17 reunion rapidly coming to a close, it’s clear that the cast still has a fair bit of healing to do before they’ll be ready to discuss their experiences with more clarity. Though Emily and Brennan’s marriage was marred from the beginning when they decided to go along with their relationship despite not being very attracted to one another, things got worse with each slight against each other. As Married At First Sight finishes showing their story, the exes are still struggling with even the simplest communication.
