Married At First Sight Season 12: Who Is Still Together (And Who’s Not)

With season 17 of Married At First Sight underway, the question at the top of many viewers’ minds is whether the couples will remain together off the camera. The reality of couples’ relationships and how they portray it on camera is often different. Not all couples who remained married in past seasons have had their relationship last after the season ended.

MAFS season 12 took place in Atlanta and aired in 2021, so a better picture of where the MAFS season 12 couples are today can be painted. While few MAFS couples are still together in 2023, some have been able to go the distance. MAFS experts have been criticized for their ability to pair long-lasting couples. However, perhaps marrying someone not previously known is a bad idea, no matter how compatible the couple is on paper. Are any of the MAFS season 12 couples still going strong?

Virginia Coombs And Erik Lake

Not Together

Virginia and Erik were one of the pairings who said yes to staying married when decision day came around, agreeing to try and make their bond work. They did have wildly different lifestyles and personalities that led to some disagreements. Still, both did say during the finale they wanted to make it work, both saying yes to keeping the marriage intact and making plans to move in together and spend more quality time off the cameras.

Unfortunately, the pair shared with E! News that they ultimately decided to file for divorce, becoming a reality couple married on television that did not last. Their statement said that they have been together since the show’s conclusion in an attempt to make it work, but it unfortunately did not. They did keep some intrigue, though, as they also said, “While we have decided to get a divorce, we aren’t closing the doors on a possible future together.” Despite leaving the door open, Virginia and Erik are not together.

Paige Banks And Chris Williams

Not Together

Paige and Chris’s relationship was one of the most tumultuous ever documented on Married At First Sight, featuring multiple breakups and reconciliations, even one that came after decision day. Chris’s decision was a yes, while Paige said no to continuing their marriage. They ended up reconciling after that day, however, officially dating again for a bit after the season. Since the season was over, fans were unsure exactly what happened to them.

Despite this, the two officially have ended things in the time since the show. The two were always trying to make it work, with Paige specifically giving Chris seemingly endless chances, but the two did finally reach a breaking point that ended their relationship. These two go down in history as one of the shortest marriages in show history, as Chris and Paige are officially not together.

Clara Berghaus And Ryan Oubré

Not Together

Similarly to Virginia and Erik, Clara and Ryan were another couple who said yes on decision day, continuing their relationship with one another. This was a minor surprise, as the two did have conflicting views and experiences when it came to romance and relationships. Ryan never felt comfortable saying “I love you” to her, but when he eventually did at the reunion, it gave fans hope that these two could last.

Unfortunately, the two eventually announced to People that “After taking some time away from cameras, we have reached that point in our marriage where we know it’s better to go our separate ways.” The two also did say that there was no bad blood between them and that they ideally will remain friends, but as far as a romantic attachment goes, Clara and Ryan are not together.

Haley Harris And Jacob Harter

Not Together

Haley and Jacob’s fate isn’t surprising to anyone who watched this season, as they were the only couple where both people said no to continuing their marriage on decision day. Their relationship was marred with communication issues, and they were practically split up before decision day even came. They made their decision final by agreeing to move on from one another on decision day, but Paige and Chris ended up reconciling, so there is always the chance of that occurring with other couples.

Since the season finished airing, nothing has changed with their status. They remain separated, and Jacob is seemingly off the grid, as he has not given any type of statement or social media post since the show’s conclusion. As of today, Haley and Jacob remain not together.

Briana Myles And Vincent Morales

Still Together

As the final of the three pairs who agreed to remain together on decision day, Briana and Myles had plans of buying a condo together and starting their life as a family. While they had their fair share of drama during the airing of the show, they did show promise in remaining married after the conclusion of the show, looking to become one of the rare examples of a reality TV marriage that stays together.

The two did end up having a storybook ending, as their reality TV documented relationship ending up lasting long term. Briana and Vincent welcomed a baby girl, Aury Morales, in January 2023. Happily, Briana and Vincent are still together. They are the lone surviving couple from MAFS season 12.
