MAFS’ Tracey Jewel admits she’s ‘struggling to overcome’ marriage betrayal in lengthy online post
Married At First Sight‘s Tracey Jewel has “come clean” about facing betrayal in her marriage with a lengthy post.
Tracey, who appeared on Season 5 of the experiment in 2018, said she realised she had not healed from a series of betrayals throughout her life, including in both her previous and current marriage.
“It hit me hard how much betrayal I’ve been living with and denying myself the hurt and anger I’ve been feeling to try and make things work and keep the peace, which is only causing more pain,” the 41-year-old wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve been betrayed in my two marriages (and even my tv marriage) with cheating and affairs. Betrayed in friendships being used for money. Betrayed by a boss and sexually harassed.”
She theorized that this had all caused a “stacking effect” that had impacted her health in recent months and said it was time to make a change.
“It’s time to heal these wounds so I stop attracting the same people and situations of betrayal,” she said.
In a comment, Tracey clarified that she was “unfortunately” living through a betrayal in her marriage to husband Nathan Constable.
“We are trying to work through things but I’m struggling to overcome it,” she said.
Tracey’s post attracted many messages of support from fans, followers and even her former TV husband, Dean Wells.
Tracey and Dean were married during Season 5 of MAFS in 2017, but she brutally dumped him at Final Vows after he had an affair with another bride, Davina Rankin, during the experiment.
“You’re a strong person Tracey! Thank you for being a solid, tough cookie despite everything going on you have been through! Including what I put you through 🙏 stay strong!” he commented.
“I’m so sorry to hear this Tracey. Sometimes we try to protect others while trying to heal ourselves and it is so hard, too hard. Good on you for reaching out. You aren’t alone,” another follower wrote.
“Sorry you have gone through this but thank you for your honesty as sharing helps so many others,” a third wrote.
Tracey married Nathan in February 2021 while pregnant with their son, Frankie. She also has a 10-year-old daughter, Grace, from her first marriage.
Earlier this month, Tracey had celebrated her and Nathan’s unique journey together, from childhood sweethearts to reconnecting as adults.
“Met in 1998 (we dated in high school!), re-met in 2018 (at Officeworks!), married and had our son in 2021,” she wrote alongside a wedding photo.
