‘MAFS’ Fans Say Goodbye to Denver After Declaring ‘Worst Season Ever’!
Married at First Sight Season 17 Ends Amid Controversy
After a tumultuous journey, Married at First Sight viewers can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Season 17 concludes. The Denver cast has left fans eager to say “good riddance” after what many are calling the “Worst. Season. Ever.”
The season premiered in October 2023 and wrapped up on April 17, 2024, marking six long months of witnessing the failed attempts of Emily Balch, Becca Haley, Lauren Good, and Clare Kerr to make their marriages work with Brennan Shoykhet, Austin Reed, Orion Martzloff, and Cameron Frazer.
Lauren and Orion were the first to split, just days after their wedding, foreshadowing the season’s rocky path. Chloe and Michael’s later nuptials offered a glimmer of hope, but even they couldn’t escape the season’s pervasive drama and deception, which came to light during the reunion.
Fans have expressed their frustration and relief on social media:
“Awful season! Men started the negative season and the women took out their anger in the end. Glad it is over!” commented one viewer.
“GOOD RIDDANCE DENVER,” added another.
“Worst. Season. Ever. Thought Chloe was only genuine person on the show,” exclaimed a fan.
One person posted a trash bin emoji, saying, “whole season.”
“The seasons will continue to get worse and worse because of the new agenda for drama rather than successful marriages,” reasoned another.
Looking Forward to Season 18
Despite the disappointment of Season 17, fans can look forward to Season 18, which will take place in Chicago, the hometown of MAFS expert Dr. Pia Holec. She expressed her excitement about the show returning to her city.
The last time MAFS filmed in Chicago was Season 5 in 2017, which brought us the success story of Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico, who are still happily married with two kids.
Can Season 18 bring the franchise back to its former glory? We’ll have to wait and see.
