Married At First Sight season 17 star Cameron Frazer hasn’t provided an update about his health after undergoing surgery on his heart condition. Cameron debuted on MAFS season 17 opposite Clare Kerr after the duo met at the altar to exchange marital vows. Although the pair looked immediately interested in one another, the feeling quickly died down during their honeymoon. The red flags in their relationship quickly became evident as the couple disagreed on almost everything.
Nonetheless, after weeks of trying to find common ground, Cameron and Clare decided to split. Although their separation initially looked like the end of another short relationship on the show, it quickly developed into something bigger when Cameron revealed he had been diagnosed with a heart condition. According to Cameron, the condition might’ve been a result of his poor mental health during the split.

After Cameron and Clare’s separation, fans were alarmed to hear that Cameron had been suffering from a heart condition. Cameron revealed the shocking news during MAFS season 17, episode 12, noting that he had to undergo serious surgery and avoid anything that made his heart rate go over 100. According to Cameron, anything that got his heart rate over 100 was likely to cause permanent damage to the organ, and he even had a wristwatch on to monitor his heart rate. Despite not revealing his exact diagnosis or condition, Cameron suggested his separation from Clare might’ve accelerated his heart issues.
Cameron Has Been Absent On Married At First Sight
Since Cameron revealed he was preparing for heart surgery, MAFS fans have been waiting for an update on his health condition. However, Cameron’s absence from recent episodes of MAFS season 17 made any information about his health condition hard to come by. Nonetheless, during the recent MAFS episode, Clare’s conversation with Emily gave fans the first inclination that Cameron’s surgery was successful.
According to Clare, Cameron had been sleeping for about a week since his surgery, and their lack of communication in the meantime was making her anxious. After the scare about Cameron’s health, it was good to hear his absence on the show was a result of him recovering from his heart surgery. Hopefully, MAFS fans will get to see Cameron back in the show soon.

Although Clare suggested Cameron had been sleeping after his surgery, no further updates have been provided about his health. Nonetheless, Clare’s comments indicated that Cameron’s surgery went well. Also, the mid-season trailer showed Cameron turning up on MAFS for Decision Day, which suggests that he will soon be back on the show and that he also recovered quite well from his surgery.
