GH Parry Shen Is Excited to Return to a Former Role!

Actor Parry Shen is returning to one of his roles, but unfortunately for GENERAL HOSPITAL fans, it’s not Brad Cooper. No, he’s thrilled to finally reveal that he’s once again voicing the character of Takeda for the videogame Mortal Kombat!

“I’ve been sitting on this info for a bit,” he shared on Instagram, “but was given the green light to announce that I’ll be returning to voice Takeda in Mortal Kombat 1’s DLC Kombat Pack 1! The trailer was unveiled in July at San Diego Comic-Con and this was the most awesome reaction video… to that announcement — “Takeda! He’s my boy!! He’s my boy!!

“So thrilled to come back and do battle with some really cool cross-IP characters in this pack: John Cena’s Peacemaker, J.K. Simmons’ Omni-Man, and Homelander from THE BOYS!” he added.

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest game in the long-running series that was released on Sept. 19 this year. Shen’s character of Takeda will be one of the six characters included in the premium downloadable content “Kombat Pack” to add more fighters to the core game. Shen previously voiced Takeda in 2015’s Mortal Kombat X.

GH Brad comforts Felix

Shen may be best known to soap fans as Brad, the character he’s been playing on GH since 2013, but he has a very extensive resume that also includes a lot of voice work in animated series like KUNG FU PANDA: THE DRAGON KNIGHT and videogames like Diablo IV.

So while we wait for Brad to make another appearance in Port Charles, at least we know we can enjoy the talented actor in other roles… even if it’s just his voice!
