General Hospital has proven time and again that it is not scared of writing off major characters. Even the ones fans love or love to hate. Moreover, the rumors about a lead actress’ exit.

That news took social media by storm and General Hospital fans have since been speculating who that actress would be. Some very concerned Carly fans reached out to actress Laura Wright hoping to get some confirmation on whether she is staying or leaving the soap.

Once these speculations caught momentum, the General Hospital mainstay decided to clear the air. Reposting someone’s post about her exiting the soap as Carly due to cast cuts, she clarified that the news isn’t true. “NOT TRUE”, Laura asserted on X.

Carly has been a central character on the soap for a very long time and has a very huge fan base. Despite the changing times, Laura Wright has managed to remain relevant as Carly, not just to the soap’s storylines, but also to the viewers. Thus, it really does come as a relief that she has no plans of leaving General Hospital anytime soon.

Interestingly, she is not the only one combating exit rumors. Soon after Laura Wright clarified her status on the soap, co-star Jon Lindstrom also commented on her post stating that some users have been spreading rumors about his upcoming exit. Which, by the way, is not true. Neither Jon, nor Laura are exiting the soap.

“I just read I was leaving soon too! Are you saying … not everything on the internet is true?” Jon Lindstrom cheekily took a jab at people who believe everything and anything that they read on the internet.

Are you relieved to know that these fan favs aren’t going anywhere anytime soon?
