General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas Returns in Time to Save Ava’s Life – Surprise Rescuer After Mason Goes Too Far?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is becoming increasingly intimidating and harassing Ava Jerome (Maura West) every chance he gets. It’s clear that Mason is a dangerous man who doesn’t have a problem with taking people out.
That’s especially true when it comes to Ava since Mason obviously views her as problematic.
One word from the boss is all it would take for Mason to flip the switch and pursue lethal action against Ava.
Since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has started to question Mason’s usefulness, he might eventually deliver the order to eliminate Ava or else Mason could be eliminated himself!
Ava always stands her ground and goes up against Mason, so she honestly doesn’t seem to realize the level of risk sometimes.
That’s something Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) has repeatedly tried to warn Ava about, but GH spoilers say it may take a truly terrifying situation to make her understand.
At some point, Cyrus might demand Ava’s demise and decide he wants to take out the mother of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) child in retaliation. Perhaps Cyrus will decide Ava’s best purpose now is to send a grim message.
If not, Mason could go rogue and try to take Ava out anyway, but maybe a surprising rescuer will show up in the nick of time.
It’s easy to imagine Ava’s life being on the line as this storyline with Mason reaches a climax, but what if Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) winds up being the one to save her?
Ava currently believes Nikolas is gone for good since Mason claims to have Nik’s body with her DNA all over it.
That’s what Mason has been using for leverage, but Austin knows Nikolas is doing fine after a lengthy recovery.
Nikolas plans to let Laura Collins (Genie Francis) know he’s alive to prevent Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) from gaining control of his estate, so that’s why he recently departed for Europe.
However, Nikolas can’t stay away from Port Charles forever! There’ll come a day when Nikolas returns to town, so it might happen before Ava gets updates on his survival.
This could lead to a major shocker when Ava comes face to face with Nikolas once again.
Wouldn’t it be an exciting twist if the ex Ava believes is deceased becomes her unexpected hero?
Ava would be floored if Nikolas snuck up behind Mason and ended him before he had the chance to rub Ava out first.
It would add to the already complicated relationship that Ava and Nikolas have as well as create some mixed feelings between them.
Even if Ava finds out Nikolas survived their final faceoff before the drama breaks out, he could still become her rescuer in the end.
Nikolas could use some redemption after threatening to take away Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), so maybe he’ll get a heroic moment.
