General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Plots to Take Out Dex – Sonny Blamed as Enemy Gets Revenge?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could be in for a rude awakening when it comes to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). It’s been so bizarre to watch Laura soften toward Cyrus while completely trashing her friendship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
It’s true that Sonny beat Cyrus up, but Cyrus deserved that and more for all the awful crimes he’s committed over the years.
It was reckless for Sonny to send Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to finish Cyrus off in the hospital, but it’s not like he was going after some saint.
GH writers really need to stop acting like Cyrus is a defenseless old man when he was the main villain on canvas not too long ago.
Besides, Sonny ultimately changed his mind, so it should count for something that Cyrus is still living and breathing.
At some point, it’d be nice to see Cyrus’ sinister side come back out – just so Laura and all these other ridiculous Cyrus defenders can get a big wakeup call.
We can think of at least one great way for that to happen since Cyrus knows Dex is the one who nearly carried out Sonny’s grim order.
Maybe Cyrus could wait for the perfect time to strike and then go after Dex payback.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has been busy defending Cyrus and getting Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) promise that he won’t let Sonny eliminate Dex.
What if Sonny isn’t the one to worry about?
Jason may be so focused on stopping Sonny’s Dex takedown that he misses another enemy – namely Cyrus.
After all, Jason already pointed out that if something happens to Dex, Sonny will be the top suspect.
Cyrus surely knows that as well, so he could get revenge on Dex AND revenge on Sonny by letting him take the fall for the hit.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Cyrus’ potential attempt to get rid of Dex will prove successful, but he could at least try and cause a ton of drama.
All the positive updates to Cyrus’ character may be a total act!
