General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Offers to Fake Date John Brennan – New Spy Sets Trap for Sonny’s Enemy?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could play a crucial role in bringing down John Brennan (Charles Mesure). Once all the puzzle pieces come together for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) regarding Brennan’s WSB and Pikeman power, he’ll be prepared to fight back.

Of course, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) could also use some help when it comes to gaining the upper hand. Could Carly be the key to setting Brennan up for a major downfall?

Carly now knows Brennan is the director of the WSB and not just someone who works in the security consulting business.

However, Brennan doesn’t realize Carly’s in the loop on that yet – and that’s something she could use to her advantage.

What if Carly offers to fake date Brennan and set a trap for him?

Brennan has certainly taken an interest in Carly since he arrived in town, so she may eventually realize that’s at least partly because of her connection to Sonny.

Carly might decide she can be useful if she pretends to let Brennan win her over.

It could put Carly in a situation where she can serve as a spy and try to score more evidence against Brennan.

Carly could get a recorded confession of the botched op he was part of and perhaps get a better sense of what Brennan’s plans are moving forward, particularly when it comes to Sonny.

GH fans know Sonny is Carly’s ex-husband and the father of her children, so she’s always going to care about him.

That’s especially true since Carly knows the people they both love will be at risk if Sonny ends up in prison or deceased.

In fact, all of Port Charles would be thrown into a tailspin without Sonny, so Carly will be motivated to help keep him safe and try to get rid of Brennan.

It’d be fun to watch a fake dating scenario between Brennan and Carly play out. If Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) gives his blessing, Carly might move ahead with a plan to manipulate Brennan and make him think she’s falling for him.

Since there’s a thin line between love and hate, lines might get blurred if Carly succumbs to Brennan’s charm!
