General Hospital Spoilers: Ava’s Real Game Revealed – More to Sonny Seduction Story
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) has slowly but surely put herself at the center of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) world. Sonny doesn’t feel like he has anyone else to lean on, so Ava seems all too eager to be the one person he can trust.
However, it’s obvious based on Ava’s dialogue and demeanor that she can’t truly be trusted at all! It definitely feels like there’s more to the story than just a simple case of Ava developing feelings for Sonny.
That’s especially evident in this whole situation with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) since Ava’s been working overtime to fuel Sonny’s doubts and resentment.
Ava even brought Jason’s romantic relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into this and acted like Jason became a different man the moment Sonny came home to find them together.
That comment is over the top if we’re talking about a woman who just wants to support Sonny.
Instead, it feels like Ava is manipulating Sonny to make him feel isolated and force him to rely on her even more.
Why would Ava do that? We can only assume Ava has a hidden agenda and that her real goal will be revealed eventually.
There are plenty of theories running wild on social media, so we’ll give you updates on a few of them.
Some GH fans have speculated that maybe Ava has been playing some sort of long game to avenge Julian Jerome (William deVry), but that’s tough to believe considering Ava held a weapon on Julian herself leading up to his grim fate.
Besides, it just doesn’t seem like the show’s concerned with dredging up old Sonny and Julian drama – not when there’s so much else going on in the present.
Instead, what if Ava is being coerced by someone? Will Ava face dire consequences if she doesn’t keep Sonny close and manipulate him into a certain way of thinking?
Whether that involves John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington), Pikeman or somebody else, it’s possible Ava’s game is more about protecting herself.
That said, Ava honestly doesn’t act scared. It feels more like a case of Ava behaving deviously, so maybe she’s in cahoots with someone on a mutually beneficial scheme or working her own personal agenda instead.
It’s possible Ava wants to position herself for full custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) once Sonny goes off the rails.
Some viewers even think Ava’s digging into her family’s mob roots and somehow using this Sonny situation to gain a foothold.
Ava was definitely anxious to join Sonny at the warehouse meeting and kept reinforcing the Jeromes’ mob history.
No matter what exactly is going on with Ava, it’s clear that she’s up to something – and it feels like a bigger deal than just stealing her best friend’s husband!
Ava doesn’t seem to be taking any pleasure in potentially destroying her friendship with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), but that’s a sacrifice she’s apparently willing to make.
Ava’s growing bond with Sonny could end in disastrous news, especially since they’re probably about to cross over into sizzling territory. If Ava locks lips with Sonny or takes him to bed, that’ll really raise the stakes.
