90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Angela Deem’s disturbing antics in the current season with Michael Ilesanmi have made fans curious about how her life used to be before the show. Angela currently stars in season 8 with Michael from Nigeria. Angela met Michael in 2017 when he was just 30 years old, and she was 52. Angela had told him she was 50, while Michael had seemingly lied about being 40. After her failed first marriage, Angela prayed to God to send her a Christian man but didn’t expect him to be from Nigeria.

Angela had presumed that Nigeria was the “scamming capital of the world.” Her friends told her that Michael was conning her. Angela used to be jealous of the women Michael had as friends on his Facebook page because she wasn’t young like them. Michael was the one who had approached her and sent her a message on Facebook Messenger. However, they’d spoken every day for a few months before Angela flew to Lagos. She believed life was too short and decided that she was going to propose to Michael as soon as she met him.

Angela’s photos from when she was in high school were uncovered by Starcasm in July 2021. The pictures were from Angela’s yearbooks starting from 1981 to 1983. Angela went by “Angie Standridge” at the time. She was a sophomore in 1981 and a senior in 1983. While Angela still has the same smile and kind eyes in all her photos, one interesting thing to note about her pictures is that she isn’t a natural blonde. Angela is a brunette and has curly hair. It appears Angela has been dyeing her hair long and straightening it in recent years.

Angela is known to have two daughters. She introduced Scottie Deem in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2. Scottie was charged with child molestation and rape in September 2018. According to InTouch, Angela’s daughter was accused of having sexual intercourse with a juvenile two to three times at her home in 2017. Scottie served 15 months behind bars. Skyla and Scottie both have three children each. All of Angela’s grandkids have faced the cameras on various 90 Day Fiancé seasons. Angela Appeared On Trisha & The Maury Show

Angela began her reality TV career before she met Michael. She had displayed her menacing personality on camera quite a few times, but the storyline then revolved around her daughter Scottie. Angela was on The Maury Show not once but three times and featured in one Trisha episode. Her first appearance was on an episode dated February 20, 2015. She had accompanied her daughter Scottie and one of Scottie’s boyfriends, Terry. Scottie and Terry had become parents to baby girl Anna. However, Angela insisted Anna’s father wasn’t Terry but Scottie’s ex-boyfriend, Chris.

Scottie had a one-night stand with Chris two weeks before getting pregnant. A DNA test was carried out and it proved Angela wrong. By the time Angela featured in Maury for the second time, Scottie had given birth to another baby daughter named Ariah. It was revealed that both Ariah and Scottie had fallen sick because Angela stressed them out. Angela went on to question Ariah’s paternity, but the father was also Terry. In Trisha, Chris was named Scottie’s baby, London’s father, even though he denied paternity, claiming he was dark, and the baby was “totally white.”

When Angela wasn’t working, she spent whatever time she had with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She was also taking care of her mother. Angela’s mother, Glenda, had cancer. She was proud of the fact that they were four generations of women all pitching in to take care of each other. Glenda died on February 8, 2020, just a week after Angela’s and Michael’s January 27 wedding in Nigeria. Angela rushed back home because her mom was “unresponsive” within a few hours of tying the knot with Michael.

Angela said she was always doing something for people and that’s how she ended up in the nursing niche. She said she was a caring person. Angela didn’t get a lot of time for herself, but Michael made her feel appreciated and wanted. The first trip she took to Nigeria was very expensive for Angela and had cost her a “pretty good penny.” It was also the first time Angela had flown anywhere outside America.
