90 Day Fiancé’s Varya Breaks Down Crying After Hearing Devastating News About Geoffrey
90 Day Fiancé star Varya Malina cried in a heartbreaking video after learning shocking news about partner Geoffrey Paschel. Varya, a 33-year-old from Russia started dating Geoffrey, 45, after meeting him online. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4 documented Geoffrey flying to see Varya for the first time. The couple was engaged at the end of the season when Varya came to the U.S. herself. By then, Geoffrey’s controversial past had surfaced online. The reality TV cast member was not seen at the Tell-All with Varya due to several pending criminal charges against him.
In February 2022, Geoffrey was found guilty of kidnapping, domestic assault, and other charges stemming from a confrontation with an ex-girlfriend. Geoffrey was sentenced to serve 18 years in prison without the possibility of parole. In her latest Instagram Stories, Varya spoke about her “incredible experience” in Oregon and why she almost canceled her trip.
Just two weeks before the trip, Varya received “the most horrific news” about Geoffrey’s appeal. She posted a video in which she couldn’t control her tears as she revealed Geoffrey’s appeal was denied. Varya said she didn’t know the details yet. She was supposed to get a call back from the lawyer after he read the paperwork.

“I was ruined, stressed, miserable, hopeless…nothing made sense,” Varya continued. She claimed it was Geoffrey who insisted on her not canceling her trip as it would help her take her mind off things. “He was right,” Varya exclaimed. Her Oregon vacation helped her not only recharge and clear her mind but also make new friends and great memories. Varya added videos of her stay at Crater Lake Lodge and visiting the Toketee Falls. She made it to God’s Thumb, which was the most challenging hike of her trip. However, it was also the best view of the Oregon Coast.

Varya proceeded to add several Instagram Stories from her trip. She is a travel influencer, after all. Varya came to the U.S. to get engaged to Geoffrey but ended up getting a Green Card in a lottery, which is how she’s been staying in America. Her relationship status with Geoffrey has not been made public. Varya has been supportive of Geoffrey, despite the fact that he was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault involving his fiancée. Geoffrey continues to maintain his innocence–and so does Varya. Geoffrey had filed his appeal in July 2022, and as revealed by Varya, it has been turned down.
Varya and Geoffrey have been away from 90 Day Fiancé for a long time. But Varya has managed to take her reality TV fame and use it to grow her followers on social media. She’s worked as a radio presenter and wedding planner in the past. Now Varya looks after Geoffrey’s rental properties in Knoxville, Tennessee. She’s also participated in medical research trials to make money while working as a part-time nanny. Varya’s travels seem to keep her busy as she remains hopeful waiting for her partner to be released from prison.
