90 Day Fiancé: Why Mike Youngquist Serving Natalie Mordovtseva Divorce Papers Was Long Overdue

Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva’s tumultuous relationship has been a rollercoaster ride since their debut on 90 Day Fiancé, but Mike finally served Natalie divorce papers on air. Introduced in season 7 of the hit reality TV series, their drama continued through season 8 and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, and even onto 90 Day: The Single Life season 4. Their journey was marked by almost nothing but negativity, but Mike and Natalie are finally done for good.

Mike and Natalie’s deep-seated issues ranged from conflicts over lifestyle choices to family tensions, particularly with Mike’s mother, Trish. Allegations of disrespectful behavior and misunderstandings further strained their relationship. Despite attempts at reconciliation, including couples’ therapy, their marriage ultimately ended, with Natalie initiating the split and moving to Florida while Mike remained in Washington. Natalie dated Josh Weinstein in 90 Day: The Single Life, but both men left her. Now that Mike has a new girlfriend, he’s finally served Natalie divorce papers. However, it’s long overdue.

Both Mike And Natalie Have Moved On Since 90 Day Fiancé

Natalie and Mike have both moved on, which is the biggest reason why the divorce papers were long overdue. Their marriage ended shortly after their wedding in 2020. Natalie then relocated to St. Petersburg, where she crossed paths with Josh, a modeling agency CEO. However, their relationship got just as toxic and tumultuous as that with Mike. It can be easily deduced that Natalie depended on Josh for support and career advancement, even amid his son’s accident.

Meanwhile, Mike has been linked with various women since breaking up with Natalie. First, he was connected with Marcia Alves. However, their long-distance relationship proved unsustainable, resulting in a breakup in April 2023. In June 2023, Mike teased his Instagram followers with glimpses of his new girlfriend, initially concealing her identity. However, his attempts to reveal her sparked skepticism. Despite the backlash, Mike eventually introduced his girlfriend, Sara Rose, in a video shared in December 2023.

Natalie And Mike Broke Up In 2021

Mike and Natalie married in April 2020 following her arrival in the USA on a K-1 visa. However, their marriage began to fall apart almost immediately. They clashed over fundamental issues such as religion, finances, and the desire to have children. Natalie, a religious vegetarian, and Mike, who believed in aliens and preferred meat, had opposing views that frequently led to arguments.

During their time together, Natalie accused Mike of cheating on her with his female best friend, a claim that Mike denied. In an attempt to salvage their marriage, Mike and Natalie sought professional help through couples therapy. Despite their efforts to work through their differences, Mike and Natalie’s marriage ultimately ended in separation in March 2021. Surprisingly, despite their separation, no action was taken towards divorce until December 2023, when Mike finally filed for divorce.

He seemed motivated by his new relationship in serving Natalie papers onscreen.

After keeping his new relationship under wraps, Mike finally introduced his girlfriend, Sara Rose, to viewers on the 90 Day: The Single Life Tell All after deciding to divorce Natalie. Natalie meanwhile has expressed wanting either Josh or Mike to fulfill her desire to have a child. Despite Natalie’s departure in December 2020, they remained married until Mike filed for divorce in December 2023.

Mike revealed at the Tell All that he had been dating Sara for a year and officially together for six months. During the Tell All reunion, he spoke about his commitment to Sara, talking about how much she cared about him. As suspected, he got the ball rolling on the divorce papers because he couldn’t fully commit to Sara while still married to Natalie. Although Sara didn’t pressure him into divorce,

Mike wanted the freedom to pursue a future with her. Therefore, Sara didn’t force Mike to serve Natalie divorce papers, but it was long past due.

Mike and Natalie haven’t been a couple in over three years. Despite Natalie’s desire to keep Mike in her life, he must cut ties for good. Natalie’s relationships have been a trainwreck mainly due to her own behavior, but it’s still easy to pity her. Hopefully, Mike creating this boundary will allow both Natalie and Mike to heal after their long 90 Day Fiancé journey.
